Five Touchdowns, One Statement: Armwood’s Rondai Dile Torches Leto in a 62-0 Rout
Armwood does not do nail-biters — and on Friday night, Rondai Dile made sure Leto never got close enough to try. The Hawks rolled to a 62-0 win, and their junior quarterback accounted for five touchdowns by himself.
Dile threw for 185 yards and 4 touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes, and he punched in a fifth score on the ground. It was the kind of line that jumps off a box score: nearly perfect through the air, in a game that was decided early and only got louder.
The defense matched the energy. Trent Tripp piled up 11 tackles — 10 of them for a loss — while Jermontey Tims and Curtis Williams each came away with an interception as Armwood slammed the door on Leto’s offense all night.
Dile, who wears No. 2, is a junior in the class of 2028. The roster lists him at running back, but he runs the Hawks’ offense at quarterback — a true QB/ATH weapon. A three-star recruit, he holds reported offers from programs including Duke, Minnesota and Appalachian State, and remains uncommitted.
Armwood (in Seffner, in the Tampa area) has been one of Hillsborough County’s standard-bearers for years, and with Dile dealing like this, the Hawks look built for another deep November. Five touchdowns in one night is not a hot streak — it is a statement.

Connail Jackson Runs for 284 Yards and Five Touchdowns as Cardinal Mooney Outlasts Palm Beach Central 58-36
Cardinal Mooney senior running back Connail Jackson delivered the performance of the Florida weekend on Friday night, rushing for 284 yards and five touchdowns to power the Cougars to a wild 58-36 win at Palm Beach Central.

Jackson scored every way a back can. He took a pitch from quarterback Davin Davidson and raced 74 yards untouched for the first touchdown, added scoring runs of 3 and 9 yards in the second quarter, broke a 44-yarder in the third, and finished the night with a 2-yard score in the fourth. When Palm Beach Central rallied to within 44-36, it was Jackson again — a 33-yard run that lit the fuse on the late drive that put the game away as Mooney scored twice more down the stretch.
“Stopping Jackson was the whole game plan,” Palm Beach Central’s coach said afterward. “He’s so patient. We were hitting him and he just stayed up.”
The night also carried the 5-foot-10, 185-pound senior past 2,000 rushing yards and 30 touchdowns for the season. Cardinal Mooney, the defending Florida Class 2A state champion, is now 8-1.
A three-star recruit in the class of 2027, Jackson remains uncommitted, with offers that include Auburn, Purdue and Pitt, and North Carolina making a strong impression this fall. On Friday night’s evidence, his list of suitors is only going to grow.
