FRAGADA Shares Emotional New Track “Désolé”

Published

Step into the melancholic embrace of autumn mornings and solitary strolls through deserted parks with FRAGADA’s latest release, “Désolé”. This isn’t just a song; it’s a profound journey through the labyrinth of human consciousness and heart, a poignant reflection on life’s choices and regrets.

As the music infuses bluesy tones and gray hues, it paints a vivid picture of fleeting opportunities and the weight of unspoken words. “Désolé” etches its title subtly on a park bench where two lonely souls converge and diverge, symbolizing the burden of unsaid words and undone deeds. Against the backdrop of the solitary Temple of the Sibylle, towering atop its rocky perch, the scene unfolds—a poignant reminder that even in despair, there is beauty and the promise of renewal.

Through “Désolé”, FRAGADA beckons us to embrace our vulnerabilities and find strength in our regrets. It’s a reminder that our deepest humanity often lies in acknowledging our failures.

Born Mapli Guy Gbizie in Ivory Coast and later finding his musical home in Paris, FRAGADA—also known as Mapli and Dixx—has carved a niche in the city’s vibrant music scene. From impromptu jam sessions to prestigious venues like Le Trois Maillet, his journey from 2009 to 2024 reflects a dynamic identity and artistic evolution, weaving a rich tapestry of musical styles and projects that resonate with audiences far and wide.

So, let “Désolé” be your soundtrack as you navigate the complexities of life and love, finding solace in the music’s tender embrace and the universal truths it unveils.

Babé Sila returns with ‘Forever (Bhebbak)’, a soulful meditation on intercultural love

Budapest-born, London-based singer-songwriter Babé Sila is back with a luminous new single, Forever (Bhebbak), now available on all platforms. With this track, she proves her ability to turn deeply personal moments into something universal. Rooted in a timeless Middle Eastern folk melody made famous by Fairuz, Forever (Bhebbak) (which means “I love you” in Lebanese dialect) is both a love letter and a reflection, on intimacy, memory and the quiet hope that love can outlast the moment it’s born in.

The song takes us on a cross-continental journey, musically and emotionally. From its bossa nova rhythms and Spanish guitar to the hypnotic jazz piano and floating flutes, the soundscape carries the weight of shared heritage and fragile longing. Babé Sila explains how the melody’s legacy, heard across Arabic, Persian, Hebrew and Andalusian households, mirrors her own experience of loving across cultures and identities. “As someone with ties to parts of this heritage, in love with someone who shares parts of it too, I felt an instinctive pull towards it… It carries a legacy that has connected communities for generations—just as it connected us, despite our different backgrounds. It’s a shared melody that could act as a reminder how music and culture can build bridges, bringing us back to the common human experiences we all share” she says, and it shows.

Familiar yet foreign, delicate & magnetic, Forever (Bhebbak) feels like a delicious memory you haven’t lived yet. Succeeding to Summer Sings, it continues to introduce us to Babé Sila’s upcoming EP, I Told The Sun About You, dropping June 20. If this single is any indication, the project promises to be an intimate exploration of love in all its emotional complexity.
