I heard you scream!- Dr Sonnie Badu’s personal keyboardist reveals against false rumors of His injury

Dr. Sonnie Badu is facing accusations, alleging that his reported injury was fake, and it was a tactic to generate attention for his event, “RHYTHMS OF AFRICA,” held on December 9th at the Grand Arena in Ghana.
On 1st December 2023, the Gospel singer shared news about a domestic incident he was indulged in, apologizing to churches and media for missing a prior engagement due to a major surgery. Despite the accusations, he assured the public that the concert would proceed as planned on December 9, 2023, inviting everyone to witness the glory of God.
The intensity of accusations rose when individuals witnessed Sonnie Badu’s remarkable performance on stage – dancing, jumping, and walking without crutches.
Previously, he had used crutches while preparing for the event. Some believed it was a miracle, while skeptics thought it was a staged injury to promote the event. After the concert, Frederick Arlo Acheampong AKA Achie Keyz, Sonnie Badu’s personal keyboardist and a witness, shared the behind-the-scenes story on Instagram, celebrating Badu’s endurance through pain for the benefit of the people of Ghana.
He wrote ; “Congratulations to you Dr. @sonniebaduuk !!! History was made last Saturday; and allll the glory goes up to the
Lord God most high. I celebrate you for going through that excruciating pain just to be a blessing to the people of Ghana.
You requested I should be in the theatre room with you, l saw you in pain, I heard you scream when the doctors were prepping you. You are strong, bold and passionate about what you do. I’m not surprised God always come through for you. During the concert, you opted to go without the crutches so that you
can glorify God and shame the devil. You did that to prove to the devil that he can’t stop you. Indeed you are a LIVING LEGEND that deserve a to be celebrated. Keep going! Keep winning! Keep impacting!”
Sonnie Badu later acknowledged the pain he endured on stage just to glorify God, expressing regret for disappointing those expecting to see him with crutches.
Despite the controversy, Sonnie Badu’s “RHYTHMS OF AFRICA” event was considered one of the powerful and blessing moments in Ghana.
