Joyous Celebration Testifies to God’s Love on “Uyangithanda uThixo” Featuring Nelisizwe
Three decades in, Joyous Celebration still knows how to make a declaration of faith feel personal. South Africa’s beloved gospel ensemble returned on June 19, 2026 with “Uyangithanda uThixo,” a stirring live offering featuring vocalist Nelisizwe — a song whose title carries its whole message: God loves me.
The record leans fully into that confession. Nelisizwe anchors the track with a tender, emotive lead, her voice weaving through the ensemble’s signature harmonies until the performance feels less like a concert piece and more like a testimony shared out loud. It is the kind of singing Joyous Celebration has built its name on — technically polished, but carried by sincerity first.
Production-wise, “Uyangithanda uThixo” embraces the organic, choir-driven sound that has become the group’s trademark. Rich vocal layers rise over soft piano chords and understated percussion, and the arrangement is given room to breathe. The pacing is deliberate, opening in a hushed, reflective space before building into a fuller, more triumphant close that mirrors the emotional arc of the lyrics themselves.
The release lands in a milestone season for the ensemble. Founded in 1996, Joyous Celebration is marking 30 years of music and ministry in 2026, celebrating with its 30/30 City Tour and a run of live shows that continue to draw worshippers across South Africa. “Uyangithanda uThixo” shows why the institution has endured: the voices change and grow, but the assignment — turning raw faith into unforgettable live worship — stays the same.
For longtime supporters, the single is a gentle yet powerful reminder of divine love. For new listeners, it is an open door into one of African gospel’s most important catalogues. “Uyangithanda uThixo” is available now on all major streaming platforms.

Limoblaze Links With Johnny Drille for Soulful New Single “Already Loved”
Nigerian-born, UK-based Christian hip hop artist Limoblaze has released a new single, “Already Loved,” featuring Nigerian singer Johnny Drille.
The record is a warm reminder that the love of God is not something believers have to earn. Built on Limoblaze’s signature blend of Afrobeats, hip hop and gospel — with Drille’s soulful touch alongside him — “Already Loved” speaks to the relief of finally realising that the love people have been searching for has already been freely given by the Father.
For the believer who has struggled with feeling unworthy, overlooked, or as though they must prove themselves before God, the song brings its central truth back into focus: before we did anything to deserve it, we were already loved. It is a message of grace, identity and rest in the Father’s love, delivered in the worship-centred style that has made Limoblaze one of the most consistent voices in Christian hip hop.
Born Samuel Onwubiko, Limoblaze has built an international following by representing Jesus through contemporary African sounds, with projects that speak about faith, identity, purpose and life with God reaching audiences far beyond Nigeria and his UK base. “Already Loved” is available now on YouTube and YouTube Music and across streaming platforms.
The single anchors Limoblaze’s four-track EP “Father’s Love,” released on Reach Records, where it sits alongside collaborations with Marizu, Oba Reengy, Emandiong and others. Drille produced and engineered “Already Loved” himself, and the song takes its cue from 1 John 4:19, the assurance that we love because God first loved us. It also marks a reunion: the two artists previously worked together on the 2021 record “This Loving,” and the warmth of that history runs through every bar of the new single.
