Alicia Taylor Launches “Time and Chance” with Live Recording in Kingston

Published

Gospel recording artist Alicia Taylor marked a landmark night in Kingston with the launch of her new album, Time and Chance, on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The celebration, held at Swallowfield Chapel on Swallowfield Road, doubled as a live recording, capturing a collection of original worship songs in real time before a live audience, with a pay-per-view stream carrying the night to viewers around the world.

Taylor describes Time and Chance as more than an album — a celebration of faith, purpose and God’s perfect timing. The live recording experience was built to inspire hope, strengthen faith and draw people into worship, and the evening drew support from sponsors including Hands & Harmony Prestige Care LLC, MTM.TV, Honey Bun, Spurr Open and Tastematic Kitchen.

She did not carry the night alone. Joining Taylor on stage were Jamaican gospel powerhouse Rondell Positive, award-winning Guyanese worship leader Samuel Medas, and dynamic vocalist Johnmark Wiggan — a guest lineup that reflects the breadth of Caribbean gospel on one Kingston stage.

Taylor’s standing in Jamaica’s gospel community runs deep. She has served as rehearsal coach for the Jamaica Gospel Star competition, helping to develop the next generation of gospel ministers, was recently ordained as a pastor under Go For God Family Church, and is a member of the Island Tribe Collective, the movement uniting Caribbean worshippers and creatives founded by Sherwin Gardner.

A singer, songwriter, actress and vocal coach, and a former member of the acclaimed Jamaican gospel trio iWorshipp, Taylor has spent years developing other singers while building her own ministry. With Time and Chance now recorded live, that ministry has a defining statement of its own.

Bisola Turns a Season of Surgery and Recovery Into Debut Christian Album “Holy Fire”

UK singer and songwriter Bisola released “Holy Fire” on October 6, her first full-length Christian album and a project quite literally written from a hospital road back to health. The 12-track album spans worship and contemporary Christian music, R&B, gospel and acoustic sounds, and almost half of its songs were written while Bisola was recovering from multiple surgeries following a health scare in 2025.

All of the album’s songs were written and performed by Bisola, with production from Jeriah Nadesan. Alongside the title track “Holy Fire,” the tracklist includes “In His Hands,” “Living Water,” “Glorious King” and “All in With You,” songs whose titles trace the album’s arc from vulnerability to surrender and praise. What could have been a season of silence instead became the most productive writing period of her life.

“Holy Fire” also carries a piece of Bisola’s history with it. The bonus track “We Ain’t Gonna Lose” previously reached the Top 5 of the aStepFWD UK Christian chart in 2020, an early sign of the songwriting strength now given a full album’s room to breathe. AStepFWD marked the album’s arrival on October 7, introducing it to the UK Christian and gospel audience Bisola has been building toward this moment.

Debut albums usually introduce an artist. “Holy Fire” does something rarer: it testifies. Bisola has turned the hardest year of her life into twelve songs of worship, and the fire in the title is the sound of faith that has been through the furnace and come out singing.
