Mystic Marley Explores the Pull of Love on New Single In Love

Mystic Marley did not set out to write a tidy love song, and her new single is stronger for it. In Love arrived on October 30, 2026, and it sits inside the complicated space where two people keep returning to each other even after things have gotten hard.

The track was co written with Ayaana Nash and produced by Yo Christon. Its sound rests on her Jamaican roots while pulling freely from contemporary R and B, pop and hip hop, a blend she has been shaping across her recent work. At its center, the song chases the highs, the lows and the magnetic pull of a connection that does not always make sense on paper.

Her explanation for the release is simple and direct. She said she chose to put out In Love now because it is a song she is genuinely passionate about, that she felt connected to it and fell in love with it when it was completed, and that the process was a vibe, as always. There is no grand rollout speech behind the record, just an artist trusting the feeling a finished song gave her.

The family name follows her into every conversation. Mystic is the daughter of Stephen Marley, a nine time Grammy Award winner, and the granddaughter of Bob Marley, whose catalog still defines reggae for much of the world. Where some listeners expect roots reggae and nothing else, she has chosen her own lane, and In Love leans further into modern textures while keeping vulnerability at its core. That openness is itself a family tradition, since Bob Marley wrote plenty of love songs alongside his anthems.

The single follows her soulful contribution to the Bob Marley One Love album inspired by the film. In Love is streaming now on all major platforms.

Empress Miriam Simone is bringing conscious reggae to a wider audience. The reggae artist released her seven track EP Rise Up on October 23, 2026. The project was produced by Sound System Club Ltd and distributed by VPAL Music, the distribution arm of VP Records, and it is the second EP of her solo career.

Rise Up blends roots reggae, dub influences and sound system culture while exploring themes of spiritual strength, Black womanhood, cultural identity, gratitude and social consciousness. The EP opens with her rendition of Satta Massagana, the popular Rastafarian song, followed by Satta On Ya, a dub interpretation of the same piece. Black Woman celebrates and pays tribute to Black women, recognizing their strength, value and contributions.

The title track delivers an encouraging message to young people, particularly young men, urging them to find inspiration, take action and become actively involved in shaping their future. Stop the Shooting addresses gun violence and its devastating effects, and its dub companion Ceasefire follows. Simone closes the EP with So Thankful, a song expressing gratitude for life and all that comes with it.

The project has already found recognition in the international reggae community. The EP premiered on Reggaeville, and three of its songs placed on the ReggaeVIP Top 100 Reggae playlist for the fourth week of October 2026, with Stop the Shooting at number five, Satta Massagana at number sixteen and So Thankful at number fifty seven. A dedicated music video for Rise Up was filmed with the Sound System Club team for release alongside the EP.

Rise Up is also her first major project since her installation and crowning as Amammerehemaa of Adukrom in the Akuapem Traditional Area of Ghana. The EP is available now on major streaming platforms.
