New Zealand singer TEEKS has released Lovers Comet, his second studio album, out now through Sony Music Entertainment New Zealand with Human Re Sources. The album arrived on October 30, 2026, and its 12 tracks, running about 40 minutes, trace a single arc of desire from first spark to final surrender.

The sequencing is the story. Lovers Comet opens with Eros and closes with Feel My Love, a duet with MAJIC, guiding the listener through the stages of wanting, having and holding on. The singles set the coordinates in advance: My Boy introduced the album’s warmth, and Overdose, released September 18, 2026, drew its inspiration from The Song of Achilles, Madeline Miller’s retelling of the Iliad’s great love story. That literary streak suits TEEKS, born Te Karehana Gardiner-Toi, a Māori artist whose voice has always carried both classical weight and bedroom intimacy. He told his followers the album was the best music he has ever made, and that he had the time of his life making it.

Lovers Comet follows Something to Feel, his 2021 debut, which reached No. 1 in New Zealand and earned double platinum certification. The new album now goes on the road: TEEKS tours Australia in November, including a date at the Sydney Opera House, one of the world’s great rooms, and a fitting stage for a voice this size. Lovers Comet is streaming now, and it confirms TEEKS as one of the great romantic voices of his generation, a singer building a catalogue meant to last.

Goapele Returns With New Single Way You Love Me

Goapele has given her listeners something they have been asking for. The Oakland singer released Way You Love Me on Monday, October 26, 2026, introducing the song through an Instagram reel and thanking the collaborators who poured into the record with her.

Rated R&B, which featured the song in its weekly roundup of essential releases, describes Way You Love Me as her first solo release in three years. On the record, Goapele celebrates a love that warms her soul, singing the title line over production with an Afrobeats inspired pulse. It is a feel good record, lighter in step than some of her earlier work, but her voice carries the same calm assurance that has defined her career.

The timing gives the release an extra layer of meaning. This year marks the twenty fifth anniversary of Closer, the breakthrough song that introduced Goapele to the world and became a signature of modern soul and R and B songwriting. The anniversary has already brought fresh attention to the classic, including a remake by Wale and Leon Thomas, and Way You Love Me answers that attention with something brand new rather than a look back alone.

Her previous release under another banner was Hello Darlin Part 2, a collaboration with Bay Area artist Red Lotus that arrived in May. Way You Love Me is the first new song under her own name since then, and she presented it directly to fans as a gift for the people who kept asking when new music would come.

For an artist whose catalog has always valued honesty and warmth over noise, the single is a welcome return. Way You Love Me is streaming now on all major platforms, and listeners can follow Goapele for word on what follows it.
