R&B singer/songwriter and artist, Dondria, is known for serenading us with love songs and ballads but if you follow her Instagram page, you already know that she has a good time too!

So many changes have happened in Dondria’s life and it reflects in the music. She’s back to Atlanta, back to her first love music, and steering her career with a renewed purpose, self-awareness, attitude, and direction. She kicked off 2023 by releasing a new EP, Perspective, on her newly formed company, Awe Me Entertainment, in partnership with 630 Productions

In her latest single released from the EP, “Good Company,” she sings, “One Thing About Me, I Only Want Good Company!.. Toast to the good life. Sip on something for my vibe. Just enough to get me nice!” The up-tempo song, “Good Company!” is just about getting with her girlfriends and having a good time. “I was talking with my executive producer and creative partner, Josh Bias, and we thought it was about time I show my fun side in the music! I love to have a good time. I AM good company and that’s all I want around me.”

So join in on the fun! Don’t kill Dondria’s vibe because she only wants good company!

About Dondria

Dondria’s career started in 2007. With a $15 webcam, a voice touched by God. A candid rendition of Ciara’s “Promise,” Dondria, aka Lil Phatfffat (her name on YouTube), captured the audience of millions, including the ear of super producer Jermaine Dupri. His DM changed the young Dallas native’s life forever! At just 20 years old, Dondria signed a one-of-a-kind deal with So So Def Records and, under Dupri’s mentorship and management, released her debut album, Dondria vs. Phatfffat, in August 2010. The album contained 11 timeless tracks, with songs written and produced by Dupri and veteran songwriter/producer Bryan Michael Cox including her first Billboard charting single, “You’re The One.” Dondria was the opening act on the “Passion, Pain, and Pleasure Tour” headlined by Trey Songz and Monica.

She appeared and performed in several productions, including National Geographic’s GENIUS: Aretha Franklin biopic (2021), BET +’s “First Wives Club” (season 3), headlined the 2021 Taste Of Soul Festival, and toured with her friend, Jade Novah, on her “Moon In Pisces Tour.” In 2022, she also performed in a tribute to Keri Hilson for Black Music Honors and received the Boss Babe’s Trailblazer Award.

EZ Papi Releases “Naked”: a Dark and Vulnerable R&B Slow Burner

Published

on

EZ Papi leans fully into vulnerability on “Naked”, a moody and emotionally raw R&B single that trades excess for atmosphere, delivering a late-night confessional soaked in tension and honesty.

Built around soft, atmospheric production and restrained vocal delivery, the track unfolds slowly, pulling listeners into its dimly lit world rather than demanding attention outright. There’s a quiet intensity running through the record, with EZ Papi balancing emotional openness against controlled, understated songwriting.

What makes “Naked” stand out is how personal it feels. Originally written years ago during a period heavily influenced by The Weeknd’s darker sonic era, the song has since evolved into something more reflective and self-defined. Instead of sounding like imitation, it now feels like an artist reclaiming his own voice.

Blending touches of early 2000s R&B, Afro-Caribbean rhythm, and modern alternative pop textures, the single creates a sound that feels both familiar and intimate. EZ Papi’s vocal sits front and center throughout, giving the lyrics room to breathe and making every line feel direct and conversational.

More than anything, “Naked” feels like a turning point for an artist stepping away from chasing placement or expectation and fully embracing his own identity. The result is a smooth, emotionally exposed release that proves subtlety can hit just as hard as spectacle.
