The studio is turning up the neon. OFFBEAT, the music-making game from Whetstone Games and Pantaloon, has a new Synthwave update, and it is the last big content drop of the year.

The Synthwave update is out now for OFFBEAT on PC via Steam, adding three new musical objects, 11 new jobs and long-awaited MIDI controller support to the Early Access game, which is rated Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam. The update also adds computer keyboard control, a new phrygian mode, manual grid placement and more notebook content.

The three new instruments are a VHS drum for big, heavy beats, an FM-powered synth that looks like the racing wheel from the local arcade, and a smoothie maker for chorus and flanger effects. The new jobs include scoring a TV advert for an anti-sleep device, a vaporwave session with DJ Sludgepump and a haunted family dinner for Lilith, plus a new OFFBEAT Radio track, “Smashing Through Walls”.

MIDI support was one of the most requested features: players can plug in a MIDI keyboard and use channels 1-4 to control instruments in the sequencer, or play with the computer keyboard with note quantisation. The update also fixes desync bugs with improved error handling.

This is the last major content update of 2026, with the next major update due in January 2027 and a smaller festive-season update still to come. The three-person team at Whetstone Games has released substantial monthly updates since launch, and a full release is planned for early next year.

There is only one way out of the laboratory in GeoJelly, and it is straight up. The jump-only puzzle platformer from Source Byte has bounced onto Xbox, bringing more than 50 levels of carefully measured leaps to a new audience.

GeoJelly launched on Xbox on November 5, 2026, and is also available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, where it costs $4.99 and has a free demo. In the game, the jelly hero can only jump — hold to charge, release to leap, and measure every jump to escape the test chambers.

Diamonds collected along the way unlock new levels, and the more you collect, the more levels open up. Levels do not have to be played in order, and an easy mode with aim and a hard mode let players choose how punishing the jumping gets.

More than 50 levels span different themes, with black holes, jump pads, windmills, cannons and spikes standing between the jelly and the exit. Logical puzzles and speedrunner-friendly design reward players who learn each chamber inside out.

GeoJelly is out now on Xbox, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, with a free demo available on Steam. The Steam version runs on Windows, Mac and Linux, and more details are on the developer’s website at source-byte.com.
