Some horror games invent their nightmare locations. Where Dolls Hang borrowed one of the most unsettling real places on Earth.

Independent developer Steelkrill Studio announced on November 6 that its upcoming first-person psychological horror game Where Dolls Hang, just featured on IGN with its official gameplay trailer, is taking part in ENDIX Expo 2026 with its own immersive digital booth, running from November 6 to 8, 2026.

Inspired by the real-life Isla de las Muñecas, the Island of the Dolls, in Mexico, the game combines psychological horror, investigation, and survival elements within a disturbing fictional nightmare. The island sits within the canals of Xochimilco in Mexico City and is famous for the hundreds of dolls hanging from trees, buildings, and surrounding structures, an appearance and folklore that have fascinated visitors for decades.

While the game’s story is entirely fictional, its atmosphere is heavily influenced by the unsettling imagery and legends associated with the real Island of the Dolls. Visitors to ENDIX Expo can explore the Where Dolls Hang immersive digital booth at the event and discover more about the upcoming horror experience.

Where Dolls Hang is in development for PC via Steam.

Outcity Lets Its Villagers Run the Farm by Day and Defend It by Night, Launching December 10

The villagers do the heavy lifting in Outcity. Titan Games and indie.io have confirmed the cozy farming sandbox launches on Steam on December 10, 2026, with a free demo available now.

Outcity is a cozy farming sandbox where you build a farm from scratch on an overgrown stretch of countryside. You clear and shape the land, plant and harvest crops, set up irrigation and decorate your homestead, then hand tools to the villagers who move in — and the tool a villager carries decides the job they do.

Automation is the heart of the game: villagers take the tools you hand them and get to work on their own, gaining experience as they go. More than 140 upgrades span farming, fishing, construction, automation and combat, and villagers work best close to home, so where you build their homes matters as much as what you plant.

There is more to explore beyond the farm. Biomes hold their own resources, and unlocking new regions opens up new crops and materials. Procedurally generated caves hide rare finds, and the lakes hold rare fish to catch.

At night, skeletons raid the farm, and villagers you have equipped chase them off in light, playful combat — the same villagers who spent the day tending your crops.

Outcity launches on Steam on December 10, 2026. A free demo is available now, and the game can be wishlisted on Steam.
