An asymmetrical co-op where Dead by Daylight meets Ratatouille.

Indie dev Aran Koning (one part of Dutch indie collective Sokpop, the team behind Stacklands and Grunn) has launched his mega viral asymmetrical horror co-op RAT GAME on PC! Play either a pack of rats trying to sabotage a restaurant, or the Chef determined to stop them. Or team up in co-op only mode and take down the dreaded ROBO CHEF.

Keys are available now for anyone keen — requests can be made via Press Engine.

About the Game

Chef has been trying to exterminate the rats, leaving them no choice but to ruin his restaurant. Let the battle begin!

The Rats work as a team, nibbling through wires, clogging toilets, hacking the staff computer, and doing anything they can to get the place shut down. The Chef tries to exterminate them, listening for the tell-tale sound of scrabbling claws so he can catch them with his bare hands and chuck them in a cage. Their battleground is The Restaurant, a warren full of shortcuts and hidden scurryways. There may be an actual gun somewhere in the mix. Don’t worry about it.

Rat Game is an asymmetrical comedy horror with dynamic sound design, a detailed map, and squeaky proximity chat. Last one standing wins.

About the Developers

Aran Koning is an indie game developer based in Utrecht, The Netherlands. As part of indie game collective Sokpop he’s worked on over ONE HUNDRED video games, including Stacklands and Simmiland. His latest project is co-op comedy horror Rat Game.

Alexander van der Kruijf, Jonathan Howe and Leonhard van Voorst are Tumult Kollektiv, a collective of sound designers and musicians based in Berlin. They are responsible for the sound design and dynamic music in Rat Game.

ICYMI, it’s time to shoot, loot, and scoot as a sentient hot dog in Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades 2 (H3VR2). Developed by RUST LTD (H3VR, Typing Simulator), this upcoming sequel to the award-winning, best-selling immersive FPS launches November 12th on Meta Quest 3/3S.

In this VR shooter, you’ll master an arsenal of the best guns in VR as The Handy. Part field engineer. Part tactical operator. All Beef. Arm yourself and deploy into an endlessly procedurally generated megastructure that’s slowly tearing itself apart. Then chill out and plink on the range. It’s wonderful!

Featuring physics-based interactions and a ton of weapons, Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades 2’s ‘Facility’ mode sees you take on missions, fight foes, extract resources and gain loot for subsequent runs. Test those skills against other players in the competitive Combat mode, giving each player the same run as you fight across online leaderboards. Combined with daily challenges, runs and leaderboards you’ll find a ton of guns, gear, cosmetics and toys to unlock and collect as you go.
