Ryan Castro Drops “BRINCAITO” as Grammy Nominations and a Sold-Out Garden Headline Pile Up

Ryan Castro is stacking milestones faster than he can announce them. On October 21, the Colombian star officially released “BRINCAITO,” the bouncing new single his fans first heard as a surprise live preview when Spotify brought him back to Bogotá in June for a hometown celebration. The studio version, released through AWOO Corp. and Sony Music Entertainment US Latin with production from SOG, now serves as the latest preview of his upcoming album.

The single lands in the middle of a career-defining season. Castro earned his first two Latin Grammy nominations this fall: Best Urban Performance for “La Villa” with Kapo and Gangsta, and Best Urban Music Album for Omerta, his joint album with J Balvin. Weeks later he added a Billboard Latin Music Awards nomination for Latin Rhythm Song of the Year, also for “La Villa.” For an artist who calls himself El Cantante del Ghetto, the kid from Medellín’s barrios is now collecting nominations like headline slots.

The live story is just as big. His SENDÉ The Last Dance tour has been producing sold-out rooms across North America, and in December he levels up again: a headline show at Madison Square Garden on December 12 that sold out in a single day, followed by Miami’s Kaseya Center on December 19. Before that, he plays Bogotá’s Estadio El Campín on October 31, a stadium homecoming in his own country. The climb is easy to trace through New York alone: Palladium Times Square in 2023, Prudential Center in 2024, Barclays Center in 2025, and now the Garden.

New music keeps feeding the run. “La Sapió,” released earlier this month, took him back to raw, club-ready reggaetón, and “Mentira,” his reunion with Feid, opened this chapter as the first single from the album to come. “BRINCAITO” keeps the energy moving and the title says it plainly. Ryan Castro is not slowing down; he is just getting started.

Xavi Earns His First Latin Grammy Nominations With ‘Dosis,’ Plus a Performance Slot in Las Vegas

The face of romantic tumbados just got his first Latin Grammy invitations. Xavi, the Phoenix-born singer-songwriter who helped redefine corridos for a new generation, has earned the first two Latin Grammy nominations of his career: Best Contemporary Mexican Music Album for Dosis and Best Regional Song for “No Capea,” his collaboration with Grupo Frontera. On November 12, he will also perform at the 27th Annual Latin Grammy Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Dosis, his nineteen-track sophomore album released in May through Interscope Records, is the bigger swing. After breaking through with the viral acoustic hit “La Víctima” and the follow-up smash “La Diabla,” and establishing himself with his debut album Next, Xavi used Dosis to widen the frame, keeping the requinto-led, guitar-first heart of his tumbado romántico style while pushing its production and songwriting into new territory. “No Capea,” which he co-wrote, pairs him with Grupo Frontera, one of the genre’s biggest groups, and has become a streaming-era anthem of its own.

“To see Dosis and ‘No Capea’ celebrated alongside artists I admire is a dream come true,” Xavi said when the nominations were announced. “I dedicate these nominations to my grandfather, who first introduced me to music. Making him proud means everything.” It is a fitting note for an artist who began composing as a teenager in Phoenix and built his audience one phone-recorded song at a time.

The live show has kept pace with the records. His X tour has been filling arenas across Mexico, and in September he joined Natanael Cano on stage in Guadalajara, a meeting of the two artists most responsible for the corridos tumbados era.

First nominations are a before-and-after moment in any career. Xavi arrives in Las Vegas with two of them, a performance slot on the telecast and a sophomore album the Academy itself has certified as one of the year’s essential Mexican music records. The next chapter starts November 12.
