Silent Funk (Rhino Funk + Silent Someone) drop video for “Lard Yard”

Published

on

Boogie-Down Bronx duo Silent Funk (Rhinoceros Funk and Silent Someone) have dropped visuals for new single “Lard Yard.”  Speaking on the joint Rhino Funk said the track “is a call to attention in a time of multilayered social and political distractions.  In a time where everyone believes they have something to say Lard Yard reaffirms that indeed most don’t pack the competency to chime in!”  The track also features the deft turntable work of DJ JS-1.

The track appears on the newly released EP Silent Funk 2 (A Funky Silence), which fully illustrates the duo’s penchant for pairing boom-bap beats that are informed by unorthodox sources and subversive rhyme sonnets.

Another single from the EP was also released entitled “You Need To Know” (link below).
