Tone Fultz + Messiah Of Madness drop Wealth Weaponry And Power

Published

Steel-Town PA’s deadliest is back!  Grimey Production ace, Tone Fultz has a Halloween drop of his new LP.  Wealth, Weaponry And Power is a trip through the deranged and remorseless viewpoint of Fultz’s murderous mic alter-ego, Messiah Of Madness.

Within is storm drenched, shadow-laden rugged hip-hop detailing ill-gotten gains, the destruction of street suckers and other R-Rated activity.  When questioned on the extremity of his work and how his friends feel about his music, Fultz revealed, “my friends don’t look at me differently after hearing my music.  We all grew up in the projects and in that environment you’re either a predator or prey and I choose to be the predator. Anytime something crazy went down in my hood I usually was in the center of it.  Even though I have money and I’m a long way from the projects, that killer instinct never leaves you. It will scar you for life.”

1K Phew and Timbaland Sound the Alarm on Joint Album ‘Seven Trumpets’

Atlanta’s own 1K Phew and legendary producer Timbaland have joined forces for Seven Trumpets, a joint album that arrived today, Friday, October 30, on Reach Records.

The 12 track project runs 26 minutes, and the two men have a name for the sound they built together: street gospel. It is faith music with its boots on the pavement, made by a Dove Award winning Christian rapper from Stone Mountain and one of the most influential producers hip hop has ever produced.

The tracklist includes “SCRIPTURES,” which flips the children’s classic “Jesus Loves the Little Children,” the hard charging “TOP UH IT,” and “NEW HEAVEN,” which features Memphis legend Project Pat. The album’s lead single, “Safe,” landed ahead of the release and set the tone for the full record.

1K Phew, born Isaac Gordon, won a GMA Dove Award for No Church in a While, his 2021 collaborative album with Lecrae, and has spent the years since pushing Christian rap into rooms it had never played before. He previewed Seven Trumpets at a listening party at Means Street Studios in Atlanta on September 22, and he summed up the mission in his own words: “I’m saved, not soft.”

For Timbaland, whose production shaped a generation of hits for Missy Elliott, Aaliyah, Jay Z and many more, Seven Trumpets is a full step into the gospel rap space, built with one of the genre’s brightest young voices.

Seven Trumpets is streaming now on all platforms.
