Aaron Frazer has returned with music made purely for the pleasure of making it. The Los Angeles based singer, songwriter and multi instrumentalist released his new EP Corners on October 30 through Dead Oceans. The six track project is his first solo release since his 2024 album Into The Blue.

Frazer first gained recognition as the co lead vocalist and drummer of Durand Jones and The Indications. With Corners, he steps back into his solo lane with a collection that embraces warmth and romance in all of its hopeful, exhilarating and heartbreaking forms. The EP was written and recorded between tours over the past year, and it grew from his desire to make music with the friends, peers and collaborators he admires.

That guest list is deep. Corners features contributions from Tommy Brenneck, Mayer Hawthorne, Anthony Masino, Gabe Roth, Kelly Finnegan, Blake Rhein and Cold Diamond and Mink. Frazer says the project was a joy to make, with no pressure and no goal other than to make songs he loves with people he loves.

The songs carry that spirit. Same Old Game captures the feeling of a childhood crush over an upbeat groove, and Frazer has said he loves childhood imagery in soul music, pointing to the Intruders classic Cowboys to Girls as a famous example of that jump into grown up feelings. Paint The Picture revels in yearning, while It Is A Shame reflects on the familiar sting of heartache. The full track list is completed by Let Your Love Grow, Back Into The World and Tell Me.

Two seven inch singles will extend the era through Colemine, with Paint The Picture arriving November 13 and Same Old Game following on December 4. Corners is available now, ready to sit beside favorite soul songs at car shows, cookouts, dance floors, late nights and slow mornings.

John Legend Unveils Muse, a New Album Produced in Full by Pharrell Williams

John Legend has opened a new chapter built on an old friendship. The EGOT winning singer, songwriter and producer released his new album Muse on October 23, 2026 through Republic Records. The record was produced in full and co written by Pharrell Williams, and it marks the first complete album the two have made together after more than twenty years of friendship.

Muse is Legend twelfth studio album, a sixteen track collection that weaves together the strands of Black music. The label announcement describes a lush and cinematic body of work that moves through gospel and the standards, doo wop and classic soul, Afrobeat and hip hop, all carried by the piano led writing of Legend and Williams rhythmic imagination.

The project took shape in Paris. In January 2025, Legend and Williams convened at the studio inside Louis Vuitton headquarters, where Williams serves as creative director for Louis Vuitton menswear, and wrote and recorded the album there. The collaboration grew out of an appearance by Legend on the Clipse album Let God Sort Em Out, and Clipse return the favor on Muse, appearing on Bodies On The Floor. Legend unveiled a video for that track on release day.

Williams is present throughout the album, featured on the title track and several other songs, while the lead single Daylight introduced the era ahead of the release. Pray For Ya, Fireflies and Her are among the other titles on a track list that closes with Sail Off.

Legend has said he wanted to shake up the formula of the piano ballads that made him famous, and Muse answers that ambition with strings, horns and rhythm working alongside his voice. The album is available now on streaming platforms, with CD and vinyl editions offered through his official store.
