Anok Yai Fronts Three Vogue Brasil Covers and Takes Over the Victoria’s Secret Runway
Anok Yai is having the kind of October most models only dream about. The Egyptian-born supermodel fronts the October 2026 issue of Vogue Brasil not once but three times, landing a trio of covers shot in Brazil’s Serra da Mantiqueira mountains by photography duo MAR+VIN. Styled by Rita Lazzarotti, the covers put Yai in looks from Jonathan Anderson’s Cruise 2027 collection for Christian Dior, set against electric blues, golden yellows and soft florals. It is her second time covering Vogue Brasil, and the shoot has drawn wide praise for the way it lights and celebrates her rich complexion.
Days after the covers landed, Yai was on the other side of the hemisphere doing what she does best. On October 18, she walked the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2026 at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, Los Angeles — her third appearance in the revived show. She turned out two of the night’s most talked-about looks: first, a sculptural bodysuit built from layers of oversized pink petals that transformed her into a walking flower, and later an all-white lace corset with a ruffled peplum, crystal-encrusted cuffs and towering white feathered wings.
The Victoria’s Secret moment capped a full fashion month. Yai was in Paris for the spring 2027 collections, walking for Chanel on October 5 among her runway bookings — the latest chapter in a career that has made her one of the defining faces of her generation.
Her rise remains one of modeling’s great modern stories. A photograph taken at Howard University’s homecoming in October 2017 changed her life overnight, and Next Model Management signed her on October 31 of that year. By February 2018 she had opened Prada’s women’s show in Milan, becoming only the second Black model to do so after Naomi Campbell. Nearly a decade on, the bookings have only grown bigger: three magazine covers in a single month and a headline runway moment in Los Angeles, all within a few weeks. Anok Yai is not just working — she is setting the pace.

Ashley Graham Completes a Third Straight Victoria’s Secret Run in Flower Wings
Ashley Graham walked the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on October 18, 2026, at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California, completing her third consecutive appearance for the brand since her debut in the show’s 2024 revival. She wore a pale lilac lace bodysuit with side cutouts and gold metallic heels, under wide wings covered in pink and yellow flowers — one of the night’s most photographed looks.
Graham was scouted at age 12 in a Nebraska mall and signed with Wilhelmina Models in 2001, later moving to Ford Models and then IMG Models, which represents her today. Her breakthrough came in 2010 with her first Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue appearance, and in 2016 she became the first curvy model to grace the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue — a cultural milestone that brought the conversation about size acceptance into the mainstream.
From there, her career expanded far beyond the runway. In 2015 she delivered a TEDx talk, declaring “Plus-size? More like my size,” and in 2016 Mattel created a Barbie doll in her likeness, at her insistence that the doll’s thighs touch. In 2017 she published her memoir, A New Model: What Confidence, Beauty, and Power Really Look Like, and became the first plus-size model on the cover of American Vogue. She has fronted campaigns for Revlon, H&M and Calvin Klein, walked for Michael Kors, Dolce & Gabbana and Tommy Hilfiger, and in 2025 made her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago.
When Graham first joined the Victoria’s Secret show in 2024, she wrote that after sitting down with the brand’s leadership, she saw real change — and that the curve models were not just a symbol. Three shows later, her place on the runway reads as settled. The flower wings in 2026 were not a one-time gesture; they were the look of a model who has spent a decade turning a refused seat at the table into a career at the center of it.
