Mona Tougaard Owned Spring 2027: One Opener, Three Closers and the Season’s Hardest-Working Runway

Published

on

If spring 2027 had a most valuable player, it was Mona Tougaard. Across a single four-week season in Milan and Paris, the Danish supermodel opened The Row and closed three major shows — Fendi, Max Mara and Isabel Marant — the opening and closing slots that casting directors reserve for the faces they trust most. Season recaps published this month read like a roll call of fashion’s biggest houses, and her name runs through all of them.

The full booking list shows her range. In Paris she walked Chanel in a drop-waist bouclé skirt, then changed gears the same day for Sacai’s feathered black midi skirt and crystal-collared shirt. She walked two looks each for Isabel Marant and Dior, and added Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Givenchy, Chloé, Celine, Schiaparelli, Bottega Veneta, Louis Vuitton and The Attico to the season’s tally. Moving between heritage couture houses and sharp ready-to-wear labels in the same schedule is exactly what separates a working model from a defining one.

Her runway dominance is translating into contracts. In July she fronted Saint Laurent’s summer campaign alongside Loli Bahia, adding to ongoing work for Dior, Celine and Alaïa. In August she co-led Chanel’s revived Coco Crush jewelry campaign, shot at Chateau Marmont and featuring K-pop star Jennie. Runway, jewelry and ready-to-wear campaigns at once is the complete modern supermodel portfolio.

Tougaard’s foundation was built early. Born and raised in Aarhus, Denmark, she was scouted at 12 and won the Elite Model Look Denmark competition at 15 in 2017, which placed her on Elite World Group’s boards in Paris, Milan, London and New York. Her runway career began as a worldwide exclusive for Prada’s autumn/winter 2019 show, and days later she was selected to close Karl Lagerfeld’s final Chanel show at the Grand Palais. Seven years on, spring 2027 proved she is not a face of a moment — she is the face houses build their season around.

Devyn Garcia Walks Her Third Straight Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

Devyn Garcia continued one of fashion’s most consistent runway runs on October 18, walking the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show for the third consecutive year at Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles. The Miami Beach native hit the runway in a neon green ensemble with oversized shimmering wings, one of the boldest looks of the night, in a cast that mixed returning veterans with a new generation of faces.

Garcia’s relationship with the brand is the foundation of her career. Born and raised in Miami Beach, the daughter of a Cuban-American father and a former model mother, she began working in late 2019 and started modeling consistently for Victoria’s Secret almost immediately. She became a brand ambassador in 2021, years before the runway show itself returned, and when it did, she was ready: she made her Victoria’s Secret runway debut in 2024 and has walked every edition since.

Her high-fashion credentials stand on their own. During the spring 2022 season, Garcia walked for Gabriela Hearst, Brandon Maxwell, Altuzarra, Chloé and Jacquemus, and Vogue named her one of the season’s ten breakout models. Her cover résumé includes i-D, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, Vogue México y Latinoamérica, Vogue España, Vogue Germany, Harper’s Bazaar and Porter. She is represented by DNA Models in New York and sits on Models.com’s Top 50 list; in 2025 she was named to the BoF 500, the index of people shaping the global fashion industry.

This year added another milestone off the Victoria’s Secret runway: Garcia made her Met Gala debut in 2026 wearing a custom Michael Kors gown, a step that places her firmly in fashion’s top tier of red-carpet names.

What sets Garcia apart is range. She moves between commercial campaigns for one of the world’s biggest lingerie brands and editorials for its most respected magazines without treating either as a step down, and her third straight Victoria’s Secret walk showed exactly why brands keep calling. For a model who built her career city by city and cover by cover, the Los Angeles runway was not a comeback or a debut. It was a confirmation.
