FODÉ Shares New Single ‘Dead Poets’
The English-American trio FODÉ, which consists of James Clark on drums, Ollie Norris on bass, and Fodé Busia on vocals and guitar, first appeared in the thriving London music scene two years ago. The band used humorous parodies of popular artists’ styles on TikTok to reach viral success with their satirical songs. Taking advantage of this momentum, FODÉ exhibits a sound that defies genres as they skillfully combine their original songs with parodies.
A memorable musical synergy is created by the individual flairs of each member, including Ollie Norris’s rhythmic bass, James Clark’s powerful drumming, and Fodé Busia’s soulful vocals and guitar. As FODÉ keeps lighting up London’s stages, their shows showcase their mastery of music as well as their unmatched ability to engage the audience. As their journey continues, FODÉ will be a force to be reckoned with, redefining innovation in today’s music scene with a unique blend of sarcasm, inventiveness, and musical prowess.
They have just dropped their latest single ‘Dead Poets’, created from the concept of their viral TikTok which was ‘how Frank Ocean sounds to non-fans’ gaining over 4 million views. Due to an output of comments requesting a full version of the song, FODÉ decided to make it their own. The band added more depth flair and energy to the tune. Vocals, electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, piano, acoustic guitar, and Rhodes electric piano are all used to produce the energetic and dynamic rock track. They were able to add their touch to the music after a few hours, and they proceeded to reserve Premises Studios in Hackney for the proper recording. It is now prepared for distribution to the thousands of individuals who requested it.
On the song, FODÉ says, “This song started as a joke but we took it seriously and turned it into art.”
‘Dead Poets’ showcases FODÉ’s musical prowess while highlighting their intriguing songwriting and energetic production capabilities. Their artistry shines through their latest release complimenting their entire music discography to date.
FODÉ are paving their way into the music scene with their promising sound. For more updates on them, please visit their social media and streaming platforms.

Brandes ‘The Distance Between Dreams’ – Echoes of the Past, Sounds of Now

It’s not every day a former MP drops one of the most soul-stirring debut albums of the year, but Peter Bradley, now performing under the name Brandes, defies expectations at every turn.
The Distance Between Dreams, is a quiet triumph—lyrically rich, musically sparse where it needs to be, and emotionally weighty without being overwrought. It’s the kind of record that creeps up on you, then lingers.
There’s a deliberate rawness here. On “Please Don’t Call”, Brandes navigates the wreckage of a lost relationship with the weary grace of Leonard Cohen, while “Like A Dagger” pulses with an almost Nick Drake-like fragility. Meanwhile, “From The Higher Ground” injects some electricity, both sonically and ideologically, into the album’s center.
But it’s “Song for Mordecai” that elevates this project to something timeless. Blending oud, sagat, and other Middle Eastern instruments with a lyrical narrative that spans centuries, it’s an ode to the Jewish experience, but also to endurance, solidarity, and self-knowledge.
There’s no filler here—just finely-wrought songs from a man who’s seen life from every angle. Brandes isn’t here to perform; he’s here to reveal.
