CI Games SE Secures EUR 28.6 Million in Syndicated Financing for the Launch of Lords of the Fallen II
CI Games SE has signed a EUR 28.6 million syndicated credit facility arranged by Erste Bank Polska and Bank Ochrony Środowiska. The funds fully cover the Company’s financing needs for the completion of production, the global marketing campaign and the launch of Lords of the Fallen II, scheduled for the first quarter of 2027. The financing will also allow the Group to refinance all of its existing bank debt.
“We have secured full financing for the launch of Lords of the Fallen II without issuing new shares. That matters for our shareholders, who keep their full participation in the game’s potential success. The banks’ confidence confirms the quality of our project and its commercial potential,” said Marek Tyminski, President of the Management Board of CI Games SE.
The new financing agreement is an important step in the delivery of CI Games SE’s strategy. The financing structure provides for 80% of the facility to be covered by a guarantee from KUKE, the Polish export credit agency.
The financing matures in August 2027 and is expected to be repaid primarily from sales of Lords of the Fallen II following its launch. The structure allows the Company to focus on completing production and delivering the global marketing campaign.
As part of the arrangements, Marek Tyminski, President of the Management Board and the largest shareholder of CI Games SE, has committed to hold his entire shareholding for the full term of the financing.
“I know how much potential Lords of the Fallen II has, which is why I have committed to hold my entire shareholding for the full term of the financing,” added Marek Tyminski.
Lords of the Fallen II is the sequel to Lords of the Fallen (2023), which sold more than 2.5 million copies and reached over 8 million players on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The new installment is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2027.
CI Games is preparing the next stage of its promotional activities for Lords of the Fallen II. Early next week the Company will present a new episode of its “Lifting the Veil” series featuring members of the Launch Creative Team, a highly skilled and experienced group hired directly from the soulslike community.
In December 2026 the Company will announce the exact release date of Lords of the Fallen II and begin the game’s main marketing campaign.
