JISOO Leans Into Dark Dance Pop on New Single ADDICTED
JISOO has released ADDICTED, her new digital single, on October 30, 2026, through BLISSOO and Warner Records. The BLACKPINK star shared the song at 8 a.m. Korea time, which was the evening of October 29 in the United States. It is the second single released ahead of her forthcoming first full length solo album, following CLICK in September.
Warner frames the record as a driving dance pop single with a dark sonic palette and an infectious beat, built to embody the dizzy thrill of uncontrollable attraction. Where CLICK told the story of a spark of connection, ADDICTED is about what happens when the spark will not go out. The song runs for two minutes and fifty nine seconds and is sung in English. Its writing credits include JISOO, OSTON, Jack Brady, Jordan Roman, Sol Was, The-Dream and Tiina Vainikainen, with production by The Wavys and Sol Was.
The single arrived with an official music video featuring an underwater performance and choreography created with Lee Jung. The visual campaign matched the temperature of the record from the first teaser. The rollout from BLISSOO ran from October 24 to October 26 with a logo animation, concept photographs and a short preview, opening on a heart made of lightning flashing across a dark purple sky. A music video teaser on October 28 showed JISOO performing underwater amid thunder and flashing lights, and the full video delivers kaleidoscopic dimensions, reflective surfaces and dramatic lighting.
The new single follows a strong opening chapter for the album era. CLICK reached No. 3 on the worldwide iTunes chart and the top ten in 43 territories, and its video has passed 54 million views on YouTube. Her earlier solo EP sold over half a million copies in its first week and topped the iTunes albums charts in 45 regions. The title and release date of the forthcoming album have not been announced, and ADDICTED gives listeners the clearest signal yet of the darker dance direction the project is taking.

Dlala Thukzin Keeps the Fire Burning With Ninth Studio Album Ember
South African dance music producer and DJ Dlala Thukzin has released Ember, his ninth studio album. The hitmaker, who was born in Durban, returns with a bold body of work that celebrates resilience, musical evolution and the enduring influence of South African dance music.
With Ember, he continues to explore the sounds that have shaped his musical identity while pushing his production into new creative territories. The album brings together Afro House, 3-Step, EDM and contemporary African rhythms, creating a blend of styles that balances energetic moments for the dancefloor with the distinctive sounds of home. The relationship between nostalgia and innovation sits at the centre of the project, as he pays tribute to the sounds and moments that helped shape South African dance culture while showing how those influences can evolve into something new.
One of the standout moments on the project is Sobuye Sbonane, featuring Zeh McGeba. The track reimagines an iconic classic by DJ Bongz, giving it a fresh electronic direction while preserving the emotional connection associated with the original. Rather than simply recreating a familiar record, Dlala Thukzin introduces a new interpretation designed to connect with longtime fans and a younger generation of listeners at the same time, and the contribution of Zeh McGeba brings the collaboration fully to life.
The album also arrives during an important period in his career, as he continues to expand his international presence. Following a four date tour in Australia and major live appearances abroad, he is taking his sound to wider audiences while remaining connected to his Durban roots. Known for his fusion of Gqom, Amapiano, Afro Tech and electronic music, he has built a reputation for distinctive rhythms and productions that resonate with audiences across different markets. His catalogue includes Phuze, iPlan, Permanent Music and 031 Studio Camp. Ember is available now on digital platforms, and as its title suggests, the fire behind his creativity continues to burn.
