Chris “Pooh” Paul Jr., a standout linebacker from Ole Miss, was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft with the 172nd overall pick. The Rams surprisingly traded up 29 spots to secure him, demonstrating their strong interest in his potential.

Paul, who hails from Cordele, Georgia began his college career at Arkansas, where he played for three seasons before transferring to Ole Miss in 2024. In his lone season with the Rebels, he earned Second-Team All-SEC honors and was named a Third-Team All-American by the Associated Press. He led the team with 88 tackles, including 11 for loss, and added 3.5 sacks, one interception, and four pass breakups. His performance made him a finalist for the Butkus Award, given to the nation’s top linebacker.

The Rams see Paul as a valuable addition to their linebacker corps, which includes players like Nate Landman, Troy Reeder, and Omar Speights. His arrival is expected to intensify competition for starting roles and add depth to the defense.

Atlanta, GA – With the 208th overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft, the Carolina Panthers selected Jimmy Horn jr. Horn, a wide receiver from Colorado, is known for his speed and agility, having run a 4.46-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. Standing at 5-foot-8 and weighing 174 pounds, he adds a dynamic element to the Panthers’ offense and special teams. Jimmy Horn Jr. had a dynamic college football career, showcasing his versatility as a wide receiver and return specialist at both South Florida and Colorado. Despite missing parts of the 2024 season due to injury, Horn remained a key contributor, demonstrating resilience and consistent performance.

During the East West Shrine game week, Horn spoke about beginning his college career at South Florida before transferring to Colorado, where he played under coach Deion Sanders. 

The Panthers are adamantly looking to enhance their receiving corps, and with Horn’s speed and versatility he could provide an immediate impact to the Panthers roster.
