Life Time Brings a Resort-Style Athletic Country Club to Lakewood Ranch

Life Time has planted its flag in Lakewood Ranch. The company opened its newest athletic country club on October 12, 2026, at 6 a.m., at 5000 Lakewood Ranch Blvd N in Sarasota, according to its official announcement — its first ground-up athletic country club in the Tampa-Sarasota region, its second large-format location on Florida’s Gulf Coast, and its eighth location in Florida overall.

The scale is the story. The development covers more than 180,000 square feet: an 86,000-square-foot club, roughly 50,000 square feet of outdoor beach club, and roughly 50,000 square feet dedicated to pickleball. The Beach Club includes a leisure pool with waterslides, a lap pool, private cabanas, and poolside food and beverage service. The pickleball footprint holds 14 courts — three indoors and 11 outdoors — along with locker facilities, the company says.

Inside, the club lists dedicated training spaces for its GTX, Alpha and Ultra Fit formats, a Pilates studio built around its CTR (Core Tone Reform) reformer program, and group studios for barre, cycle, dance, yoga and high-intensity training, plus an expanded area for Life Time’s signature small-group formats. The floor also carries LifeCafe with an adjacent bar and lounge, a LifeClinic offering chiropractic care, and a Life Time Work coworking lounge.

The wellness side of the house, as the company describes it, includes dedicated rejuvenation suites with cold plunge, whirlpool, steam and sauna; a full-service LifeSpa offering massages, facials, body treatments, cryotherapy, red light therapy and salon services; and an LT Recovery Zone with HydroMassage and CryoLounge chairs — amenities the release presents as part of the club’s recovery offering. A Kids Academy serves children from 3 months to 11 years.

“If you know Lakewood Ranch, you know it’s built around family, sport and being active year-round,” Parham Javaheri, Life Time’s EVP, President of Club Operations and Chief Property Development Officer, said in the release. Life Time’s other Florida locations include Harbour Island in Tampa, Winter Park, Coral Gables, Miami at The Falls, East and West Boca Raton, and Palm Beach Gardens, with a Jacksonville club planned for late 2027. The company operates more than 195 clubs across the United States and Canada with approximately 50,000 team members.

It’s A Secret Med Spa welcomes Houston to its new Post Oak location

It’s A Secret Med Spa celebrated the grand opening of its Houston location at 1800 Post Oak Blvd., Suite 6130, with exclusive daytime specials and a Grand Opening Party on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

Located at BLVD Place in the heart of Houston’s Uptown district, the new location officially opened earlier this summer after relocating from Washington Avenue. The celebration marked the next chapter for It’s A Secret in Houston and gave the community an opportunity to explore the new space, meet the Houston team and learn about the med spa’s full range of aesthetic and wellness services.

First-time clients could celebrate throughout the day with 50% off Botox when booked in advance. The Grand Opening Party followed from 6 to 9 p.m., featuring exclusive offers such as 20% off injectables and skincare, 60% off laser hair removal and up to $2,000 off treatments.

The evening event also featured specialty drinks, light bites, a DJ, giveaways and raffle prizes. Guests had the opportunity to meet the Houston providers and learn more about the treatments and services available at the new location.

Attendees could also participate in an interactive Grand Opening Passport Experience. Upon arrival, guests received a passport and visited stations located throughout the med spa’s treatment rooms. At each stop, they could meet providers and learn about featured services. Guests who completed their passports unlocked additional event rewards and raffle opportunities, including the chance to receive 10 complimentary units of Botox to be scheduled and redeemed at a later date.
