LOGAN’s ‘Quarter Century Modern’ is a Fresh Fusion of Soul and Pop

Published

on

LOGAN’s debut EP, Quarter Century Modern, is a bold and exhilarating collection that blends classic soul influences with contemporary pop production. From start to finish, the EP takes listeners on a deeply personal journey of self-reflection, heartbreak, and growth. With themes that resonate with anyone navigating the complexities of life as a twentysomething, LOGAN proves that her voice and vision are destined to make an impact on the music scene.

The opening track, “None of Your Business,” sets the tone for the entire EP. With its jazzy, swagger-filled vocals and infectious pop beat, it’s an anthem for anyone who’s been told they can’t make it. LOGAN’s bold defiance comes through loud and clear, and it’s hard not to feel empowered by her unapologetic attitude. This track perfectly captures the spirit of the entire EP—fearless, confident, and ready to take on the world.

“Stranger,” the second track, offers a stark contrast with its melancholic tone and soulful melodies. Written about the painful end of a close friendship, it’s a beautifully introspective ballad that showcases LOGAN’s vocal range and vulnerability. The neo-soul instrumentation complements the raw emotion in the lyrics, creating a hauntingly beautiful listening experience. This track stands out for its emotional depth and is one of the most intimate moments on the EP.

Another standout is “Finders Keepers,” a track that blends soul and pop effortlessly. It’s a reflective anthem about self-worth and empowerment, as LOGAN channels a painful encounter with an ex into a powerful declaration of independence. The infectious rhythm and bold lyrics provide an uplifting message to listeners who may be dealing with their own personal struggles. LOGAN’s ability to turn hurt into strength is evident here, and it adds to the EP’s overall theme of resilience.

Rounding out the EP is “Special,” a melancholic and reflective track that delves into LOGAN’s existential doubts about her decision to pursue a music career in Los Angeles. The modern jazz ballad captures the uncertainty and longing that comes with chasing a dream, while still maintaining a sense of quiet strength.

Quarter Century Modern, is a remarkable debut that highlights LOGAN’s undeniable talent and versatility. The EP’s mix of timeless soul influences and contemporary pop production makes it a fresh and exciting release in today’s music landscape. LOGAN is undoubtedly an artist to watch.

LLOREN captures feelings of hope and anticipation with retro vibes on new single

Former ‘The Voice’ finalist and renowned TV sync music writer LLOREN releases her next single ‘Like I Need’.

On the track, LLOREN explains, “After coming out of a 12-year relationship, I realised that any love I accepted next would have to be something spectacular, the kind of romance you see on movie screens. It wasn’t that I wasn’t loved before, just not in the way I needed. When I started developing a new crush, as exciting as it was, I knew I couldn’t settle. I wanted and deserved the kind of love that sweeps you off your feet, full of passion, magic, and possibility. Nothing less. The chorus is a pretty much a road map to my heart!”.

Produced by Daniel Pashman, ‘Like I Need’ captures feelings of hope and anticipation, while keeping the retro, anthemic vibe that’s quickly becoming LLOREN’s signature. The track’s melancholic under-tones are swept away in a thick 80s production, as the chorus hits hard with its instantly engaging and relatable themes, bringing all of the feels of searching for new love.

Hit TV show The Traitors, Grey’s Anatomy, The L Word, 1923, Wish, The Company You Keep, Made In Chelsea, Love Island UK and Love Island USA are just some of the many sync credits LLOREN has amassed to date, which have steadily proved her rich, multi-faceted vocal and powerful contemporary inspired compositions to be a cut above the rest.

Tracks from LLOREN’s hugely anticipated forthcoming debut album ‘It’s Always Sunny in LA’ have already picked up airplay from BBC Radio 2’s Angela Griffin and Radio X’s John Kennedy and press acclaim from prestigious music tastemakers Louder Than War and The Line Of Best Fit, as momentum continues to build. LLOREN’s video for her track ‘Like This’ also won a Telly Award in the US, as well as also being nominated for a prestigious Leo Award in Canada.

LLOREN appeared at The Gibson Garage All Day Festival in London earlier this year and in her career to date has opened European tours for Fleurie, Johannes Oerding and Michael Patrick Kelly respectively, played the UK’s annual PRIDE celebrations in Manchester and London and toured with Mauvey, with whom she collaborated with on the track ‘Pillow’, performing it at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend as well as the Isle Of Wight Festival 2023.
