Rosalía Joins Fontaines D.C. for “Where Is Gone?” Ahead of “Dopamine Chamber”
Fontaines D.C. unveiled “Where Is Gone?,” their collaboration with Rosalía, on October 12, 2026, premiering the song’s official video just days before the release of their fifth studio album. The track, a five-minute meditation on heartbreak and the pain of letting go, appears as the eighth song on “Dopamine Chamber,” which arrived October 16 through XL Recordings with production from James Ford.
The pairing marks a genuine first for the Irish band: “Where Is Gone?” is the first guest collaboration ever to appear on a Fontaines D.C. album. Guitarist Carlos O’Connell, who has followed Rosalía since her debut, has pointed to a kinship between her deep engagement with Spanish musical tradition and the band’s own relationship with Irish music, and the song bears that out, placing her unmistakable voice inside the band’s brooding, atmospheric frame.
Frontman Grian Chatten has been generous in his praise of his collaborator. Speaking to MOJO, he described Rosalía as an auteur, saying, “She reminds me of Bowie and Björk,” and marveling at what he called her terrifying level of talent. The admiration came with a good story, too: Rosalía was on tour in America when the band sent her the track, and she returned her vocal within 48 hours.
For Rosalía, the feature adds another unexpected turn to a year defined by her own ambitions. Her most recent album, “Lux,” released through Columbia Records, pushed her sound toward orchestral scale, and her willingness to step into a Dublin post-punk record, in a supporting role, underlines how restlessly she continues to move between worlds.
“Where Is Gone?” is streaming now alongside the album’s other advance tracks, “Marianne” and “Tongue,” and it stands as one of the year’s more inspired cross-cultural pairings: two acts rooted in their own traditions, meeting in the middle of a song about losing someone.

FKA Twigs to Curate Meltdown 2027 at London’s Southbank Centre
FKA twigs has been announced as the curator of Meltdown 2027, taking over the Southbank Centre’s flagship festival in London for 11 days of performances running June 10 to 20, 2027. The news, revealed on October 20, 2026, makes the singer, dancer and visual artist the festival’s 32nd curator, and she will headline one of the days herself while building a lineup that reflects the diverse influences behind her own work.
The appointment places her in remarkable company. Since Meltdown began in 1993, its curators have included David Bowie, Patti Smith, Grace Jones, David Byrne, Yoko Ono, Nile Rodgers and Little Simz, with Harry Styles holding the role for the 2026 edition. Early names already attached to Twigs’s 2027 season include pianist Lang Lang, Patti Smith and composer Philip Glass, with the full lineup and ticket details still to come.
In a statement, Twigs said she was “honoured and excited to be curating Meltdown at the Southbank Centre,” describing a London upbringing that ran from Croydon College to underground cabaret clubs and warehouse parties, and promising to celebrate the diversity and creative energy that make the city one of the world’s great capitals of music and the arts. The festival will also spawn Hometown Meltdown, a new nationwide spin-off supporting grassroots venues in six cities between December 2026 and March 2027.
The honor arrives at the end of a banner stretch for the artist, whose music reaches U.S. audiences through Atlantic Records in partnership with her longtime label home, Young. Earlier this year she released “On Your Mind,” a euphoric collaboration with Lil Yachty that arrived on June 19, 2026, as her first new music of the year. Twigs has said she wrote the song after visa issues forced her to cancel the previous year’s Coachella appearances, channeling long nights of rehearsal in the dance studio into one of her most joyful recordings.
She has since wrapped the Body High Tour in support of “EUSEXUA” and its companion album “EUSEXUA Afterglow,” and, in the same week as the Meltdown announcement, signed with THE·TEAM agency. Curating Meltdown is the kind of platform reserved for artists whose taste is trusted as much as their talent. In 2027, London gets to hear what FKA twigs has been listening to.
