Gianfranco GFN, a Swiss-Italian musician, has been on a lifelong journey of musical discovery and creativity. Born in Biel, Switzerland, on October 8, 1966, GFN’s love affair with music began at a tender age, influenced by his Italian parents and the vibrant cultural landscape of his hometown.

From Classical Guitar to Acid Jazz

GFN’s musical odyssey began with the classical guitar, which he received as a gift at the age of seven. Despite the challenges of learning without formal lessons, he persevered, driven by passion and patience. Over the years, he explored various styles, from French and Italian chanson to hard rock, disco, and classic rock, eventually discovering his signature sound in acid jazz.

The Underground Scene and Beyond

In the 1980s, GFN became a staple of Biel’s underground music scene, performing in local cellars and rehearsal rooms. GFN’s music has been recognized internationally, with his track Distance gaining widespread recognition across Europe and beyond.
