There’s no secret that Michael B Jordan‘s Creed was expected to get a sequel. Luckily, we are in good hands, because Creed 2 debuts Nov 21, 2018 with a new director.

Ryan Coogler-director of Marvel’s Black Panther– has passed the project on to Steven Caple Jr, despite Stallone announcing he would be directing the film.

Taking over the series’ mantle from Ryan Coogler (who’s about to shake the world with his Marvel film Black Panther in February 2018) is Steven Caple Jr., directing his big movie. (Sylvester Stallone announced in October he would be directing, assuming the job for the fifth time in the Rocky series. Something obviously changed quickly.) Many should remember Caple from directing The Land, a 2016 indie feature he wrote and directed, with Nas producing. Reports say the film impressed Jordan and Sylvester Stallone.

If you haven’t discovered Nixo Fortune yet, his latest EP, As of late : Volume 2, is the perfect place to start. This five-track project captures the highs and lows of a transformative year, showcasing Nixo’s ability to merge introspection with head-nodding beats. The result is a polished, authentic work that’s as easy to connect with emotionally as it is to play on repeat.

The EP wastes no time diving into Nixo’s 2024 experiences, blending themes of growth, resilience, and celebration. Tracks such as “motion picture” deliver pure energy with their catchy hooks and vivid nightlife imagery, while other songs offer a glimpse into his reflective side. What stands out most is Nixo’s ability to balance both worlds – his clever wordplay and emotional depth give each track a unique identity while keeping the project cohesive.

Sonically, As of late : Volume 2 thrives on variety. Drawing inspiration from artists like Kanye West and Lil Wayne, Nixo blends modern trap beats with conscious rap elements, creating a sound that feels fresh and familiar at once. Whether you’re in the mood to dance, think, or simply vibe, this EP has something for you.
