The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410 Dynasty, Duty, and Drama Update Lets You Choose Who Your Children Marry

“What is better than wisdom? Woman. And what is better than a good woman? Nothing.” That’s Geoffrey Chaucer in The Canterbury Tales, 1390 AD or so (works just as well for a good man, by the way), just a couple of decades before The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410 kicks off. The catch every medieval dynasty knew: first you have to find the good one. And in The Guild, your family is the whole point. A campaign runs for generations, and the character you finish with will most likely not be the one you started with.

The Dynasty, Duty, and Drama Update (0.5.0) is live now on Steam, and it lets you decide who in your family courts whom. Choose a good match for your children, and the heirs who take over as Medieval Tycoon one day might turn out smarter (and better connected) than you.

What Update 0.5.0 Brings

  • Choose who your children court and eventually marry, and end any courtship with a candidate who doesn’t fit your plans.
  • If they’ve already married the wrong person, a suspicious-looking beverage or a public declaration ending in banishment will clear the way.
  • Eligible bachelors and bachelorettes now have personalities of their own: some fall for a good joke, others for deep pockets.
  • If your spouse dies, you can now remarry, and you get the new wedding scene all over again.
  • You can pick names for your character, your dynasty and your newborns (your spouse may take offense at that last one).
  • Dynasty members can be sent after specific political offices, so the family can climb the political ladder on several rungs at once.
  • Building Managers take on the tasks you assign them, and the new Ledger shows where your money goes.
  • Steam Workshop now supports localization mods, so the community can add more languages while official translations beyond English and German are still in the works.

The update also improves performance in longer playthroughs, rebalances crafting times and makes the Esc key close all windows and tooltips.

IMPORTANT: Old saves won’t work with Update 0.5.0, so it’s time to found a new dynasty. Look on the bright side: nobody in town will remember how much water went into your ale.

Want to see it all in action? The team goes live on Twitch on November 4th at 17:00 CET to talk through the update on Ashborne Games’ Twitch Channel: https://www.twitch.tv/ashbornegames

The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410 is available now in Early Access on Steam for $29.99 / €29.99.

Just in time for spooky season comes the news that the celebrated, adored horror RPG Look Outside is coming to PlayStation and Nintendo consoles for the first time. With thousands of rave reviews on Steam and an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating, this isn’t one to miss. And with the console versions featuring the game’s expansive 1.5 and Final Vision updates, there’s never been a better time to jump into Look Outside and… not look outside.

Last year, developer Francis Coulombe and publisher Devolver Digital’s acclaimed survival horror RPG Look Outside launched on PC and invited players into a seriously warped apartment complex filled with unspeakable cosmic horrors. And now, it’s coming to PlayStation and Nintendo Switch for $9.99.

Look Outside has been described by critics as, “one of the scariest games I’ve ever played,” “disturbing, grotesque, and uncomfortably wonderful,” and “an unforgettable journey into the unknown.”

Rated Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam, Look Outside is a horror RPG set in a single apartment building. Explore to seek food, supplies and weapons while encountering strange NPCs and fighting monsters that were once your neighbors.

Return to your apartment with gathered resources and partial answers to your questions to recuperate by playing games, making dinner, crafting tools and getting to know what few allies you’re able to find and get on your side in this cursed place.

Look Outside is available now on PlayStation 4 and 5 and Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 for $9.99. But whatever you do, don’t look outside.
