‘What a Privilege to be alive in the same generation as these great men’- William McDowell
American gospel musician and pastor William McDowell, renowned for his inspiring worship music and impactful ministry, shared a heartfelt message of gratitude after an unforgettable experience at Potters Praise 2024 in Ghana. The event, hosted by Prophet Nanasei Opoku-Sarkodie of Potter City Church, took place on November 24, 2024.
During his time at Potters Praise, McDowell reflected on how God uses music to bless individuals and nurture strong giants in the gospel music realm. He thoughtfully emphasized that gospel musicians are not merely singers but also messengers sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.
Following the event, McDowell took to Instagram to express his gratitude for the blessings and opportunities in his life and ministry. He highlighted the honor of ministering alongside gospel music icons such as Nigeria’s Nathaniel Bassey, Dunsin Oyekan, and Ghana’s Joe Mettle. He wrote: “What a privilege to be alive in the same generation as these great men. It’s an honor to walk with, stand with, sit with, pray with, and minister with @nathanielblow, @dunsinoyekan, and @joemettle. I’m so thankful the Lord allows me to be friends with some amazing people!”

Dr. Lawrence Tetteh Urges Ghanaian Youth to Embrace Peace Ahead of December 7th Elections
Rev. Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, a respected Ghanaian televangelist and founder of the Worldwide Miracle Outreach, has called on the youth to promote peace as the December 7th elections approach.
He made this appeal during a Peace Walk organized by Gospel musician and Pastor Sonnie Badu on Saturday, November 23, 2024. The walk, which started at Danquah Circle and ended at Independence Square in Accra, was part of activities leading up to the “Agromonti Rhythms of Africa – Peace Edition” concert.
Dr. Tetteh, known for his work promoting love, peace, and unity, highlighted Ghana’s unique bond of peaceful coexistence among people of different religions. He urged citizens to preserve this unity, saying, “Let us not break this bond of unity.”
He praised Sonnie Badu for using his music and messages to promote peace and encouraged the youth to follow his example. Dr. Tetteh reminded young people to act responsibly and avoid actions that could disrupt the peace during the elections.
The event ended with a heartfelt prayer from Dr. Tetteh, asking for peaceful elections with transparent results that all Ghanaians can trust and celebrate.
The Peace Walk is part of preparations for the “Agromonti Rhythms of Africa – Peace Edition” concert, scheduled for Friday, November 29, 2024, at Independence Square. The event is free and open to the public.
