Alex Aureo Delivers Masterful Tune ‘Swear to Defend’
Alex Aureo enters the music scene with his debut single ‘Swear to Defend’. The soulful and nostalgic styled offering is a heartfelt opening to his music, and what’s to come.
‘Swear to Defend’ is released in truncated form first, with the extended edition to follow. The homey vibe of the music is enhanced by Alex Aureo’s voice and guitar. ‘Swear to Defend’ features a ‘Hallelujah’ vibe reminiscent of Lewis Capaldi, along with a note of regret for the past and hope for the future.
The musically absorbing trip ‘Swear to Defend’ personifies perseverance and courage. Alex Aureo wrote the song after thinking about love and how it entails supporting one another. Next, he examined how he personally defined love. He describes how losing someone you love is the worst thing to go through in the song’s end, creating a sombre, wholehearted tone.
When asked about the inspiration behind this new single, Alex Aureo has the following to say;
“It’s the perfect ‘wedding song’ to play on an altar when she is walking down the aisle. It’s a song about admitting to being imperfect and needing someone with us to support us. It uses the metaphors of nature to show the complexity of relationships and life (when a tree falls and blocks our way \ when a storm forms \ when the night comes). It’s swearing to protect someone. ‘Till the end.”
So, get ready to be captivated by Alex Aureo’s enchanting vocals and alluring storytelling. With ‘Swear to Defend’, Alex Aureo invites listeners on a musical journey they won’t soon forget.

Naud Takes Flight with ‘Un Gars Bian’: A Wild Ride of Music & Madness
Photo credit: Isis Mecheraf

After ten years of musical mischief, Naud has finally dropped anchor, or rather taken flight, with Un Gars Bian, an album that feels like a hug from an old friend and an impromptu dance party all at once. This high-energy, genre-mashing adventure blends alternative pop, electro, funk, and whatever else Naud felt like throwing into the mix. Think Marseille’s “joyous chaos” bottled up into soundwaves, bursting with playful unpredictability.
Leading things off is “Déjà Vu,” a sweet-and-sour love song about a romance that spanned across Europe but never quite took off, kind of like booking a first-class ticket to heartbreak. It’s got just the right mix of experimental vibes and catchy pop magic to make you groove while overthinking your past relationships.
The album title, Un Gars Bian, is a cheeky play on words, merging Marseille (city in France) slang for “seagull” (gabian) with “un gars bien” (a nice guy). It’s basically Naud in a nutshell: a free-spirited, big-hearted artist who wants to spread good vibes, reckless creativity, and a touch of joyful madness. And if that wasn’t enough, he’s also launched an Un Gars Bian t-shirt line, because what’s better than wearing your philosophy on your sleeve, literally? Grab yours here!
So, are you ready to embrace the joyful chaos? Un Gars Bian is the perfect excuse to dance like nobody’s watching and live life with a little more mischief. Let’s gooo!
