Anderson .Paak and Cordae Release Joint Album ‘Heavy Is the Crown’
Anderson .Paak and Cordae have turned one of hip-hop’s most natural partnerships into a full album. Heavy Is the Crown, the duo’s first full-length joint project, is out now on APESHIT, Mass Appeal and EMPIRE.
The album is built for replay value: 11 tracks running just under 32 minutes, sequenced tight with no wasted space. The production lineup is heavyweight — J. Cole, 9th Wonder, Conductor Williams, Swizz Beatz and Hollywood Cole all contribute behind the boards, giving the project a range that moves between soul-sample warmth and hard-edged rap records.
The lead single, “A Good Day,” is produced by Hollywood Cole and flips Bill Withers’ “Lovely Day” — a fitting foundation for two artists known for musicianship. The song arrived with a video directed by Dave Meyers, one of the most decorated directors in the format.
Even the album’s cover tells the story of the partnership: its artwork nods to the 2008 comedy Step Brothers, a wink at a real friendship that began with their 2019 collaboration “RNP” and has grown through years of guest appearances and shared stages.
The celebration extended beyond the music. A block party at Fatburger in West Hollywood marked the release on October 25, with ticket proceeds benefiting the Brandon Anderson Foundation — turning album weekend into a community giveback.
Heavy Is the Crown is available now on all platforms.

GloRilla Announces New Single “Jiggly Bow Bow” with Sexyy Red, Out November 6
GRAMMY-nominated Memphis powerhouse GloRilla has announced her upcoming single, “Jiggly Bow Bow” with multiplatinum-selling rap sensation Sexyy Red, out November 6 via Yo Gotti’s CMG label and Interscope Records. Alongside the release date, the artists also unveiled the official cover artwork.
Teased in the months leading up to its release, “Jiggly Bow Bow” has been building anticipation ever since listeners first got a taste of what the two had up their sleeves. In a snippet shared on social media last week, GloRilla and Sexyy Red dressed up as elderly women while rapping along to the upcoming record.

“Jiggly Bow Bow” extends what has become a remarkable run of collaborations between GloRilla and Sexyy Red. The pair first teamed up on “WHATCHU KNO ABOUT ME” from the Memphis native’s 2024 debut album, GLORIOUS, before reuniting on Tyler, The Creator’s GRAMMY-nominated “Sticky” later that year. They subsequently joined Monaleo on Summer Walker’s “Baller,” with Chris Brown bringing the dynamic duo together once more for May’s “Call Your Name.”
The multiplatinum recording artist continues to enjoy the success of her blockbuster debut album, GLORIOUS, which delivered the highest first-week sales for a female rapper on the Billboard 200 in 2024. Outside of music, GloRilla recently launched GloVerse, her on-demand marketplace giving consumers the ability to find and book verified beauty professionals.
With “Jiggly Bow Bow” slated to arrive next month, GloRilla and Sexyy Red are further cementing their places as two of hip-hop’s leading ladies.
