Yung Miami Drops Debut Solo Album ‘Watch Dis’

on

Yung Miami has officially stepped out on her own. The Miami rapper released Watch Dis on Friday, October 23, her debut solo album and her first full-length project since her run as one half of City Girls. The album arrives on Uptown Records with a 12-track released tracklist and the confidence of an artist with something to prove.

The road to the album was paved by a genuine hit. “Spend Dat” became Yung Miami’s first solo Top 20 entry on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 17 and climbing to No. 2 on Hot Rap Songs. The record proved so durable that it appears on Watch Dis three times: the original, a remix with Lil Baby and Kodak Black, and an international remix that brings in Davido, Shenseea and Vybz Kartel, stretching the song from Miami to Lagos to Kingston.

The hometown tribute is just as stacked. “Dade County” unites three generations of Miami rap royalty — Rick Ross, Trina and Trick Daddy — on a single record, while “TMTC” pairs Quavo with G Herbo. Together, the features frame the album as both a solo statement and a celebration of the city that raised her.

The rollout doubled down on momentum. Singles “F You,” produced by London On Da Track and built on a Yo Gotti and Meek Mill sample, and “2008,” produced by J White, landed together alongside the album announcement, giving fans two sides of the project at once — defiant and nostalgic.

City Girls made Yung Miami a star, but Watch Dis is the sound of an artist claiming her own name. With a chart-proven single, a heavyweight guest list and Miami behind her, the debut makes its case loud and clear.

“Jiggly Bow Bow” extends what has become a remarkable run of collaborations between GloRilla and Sexyy Red. The pair first teamed up on “WHATCHU KNO ABOUT ME” from the Memphis native’s 2024 debut album, GLORIOUS, before reuniting on Tyler, The Creator’s GRAMMY-nominated “Sticky” later that year. They subsequently joined Monaleo on Summer Walker’s “Baller,” with Chris Brown bringing the dynamic duo together once more for May’s “Call Your Name.”

The multiplatinum recording artist continues to enjoy the success of her blockbuster debut album, GLORIOUS, which delivered the highest first-week sales for a female rapper on the Billboard 200 in 2024. Outside of music, GloRilla recently launched GloVerse, her on-demand marketplace giving consumers the ability to find and book verified beauty professionals.

With “Jiggly Bow Bow” slated to arrive next month, GloRilla and Sexyy Red are further cementing their places as two of hip-hop’s leading ladies.
