Kakao Games and Chrono Studio have released new gameplay footage from Chrono Odyssey, showing a complete, uncut and unedited run of the Chrono Gate boss encounter against the world boss Miragin. The video also serves as the public debut of the Paladin, a new playable class joining the MMORPG’s roster ahead of launch.

The fight is built around two named mechanics. Replicate sees Miragin conjure mirror images of itself that players must read and answer in real time, while Isolation is a telegraphed phase counter that punishes anyone caught in the wrong place. The encounter shifts through two phase changes across the run, giving the footage the feel of a genuine endgame test rather than a scripted showcase.

Chrono Studio says the encounter has been reshaped by feedback from the game’s February 2026 focus group test, with boss design and encounter pacing adjusted in response to what testers reported. The Paladin arrives as part of that same round of changes, taking its place alongside the Swordsman, Ranger, Assassin, Berserker and Sorcerer on the class roster.

Built in Unreal Engine 5, Chrono Odyssey is an MMORPG set in the world of Setera, where players wield the Chronotector to manipulate time itself in and out of combat. Kakao Games is now targeting a launch window of Q2 2027 on PC and console, and says more of the game’s systems will be shown as development continues. It is a long road to Q2 2027, but footage this raw points to a studio confident in what it is building, and players will be watching the next reveal closely.

Mayday: The Survival Island has launched on Steam today, a hand-drawn pixel survival game that blends classic island survival with cozy homesteading. The game comes from Pequi Studio, the solo project of developer Rafael Zanchettin, and is published by indie.io.

Players take on the role of a plane crash survivor who washes up on the shore of a remote island with nothing to their name. From that first stretch of beach, the job is to build a life from scratch, farming crops, fishing the shallows, mining for raw materials, crafting tools and equipment, and cooking meals from whatever the island provides.

The island itself is anything but static. Seasons change across the year, storms roll in off the water, and fire can spread dynamically through the landscape, turning one careless moment into a real emergency. Three game modes and four difficulty levels let every player tune the challenge, whether they want a gentle homesteading escape or a far harsher fight to stay alive.

Progression comes through a skill tree and building upgrades that steadily turn a rough camp into a thriving homestead. Beneath the cozy surface, though, the island keeps its secrets: hidden mysteries, cultists and strange creatures all wait to be discovered, alongside animal friends that can be won over and even dressed up in costumes.

Mayday: The Survival Island is available now on Steam priced at $13.99, with a 20 percent launch discount bringing it down to $11.19 for the first week after launch. Players who like their survival games with a gentler, hand-crafted touch now have a new island to call home.
