Nightdive Studios has announced that Thief: The Dark Project Remastered will launch on December 3, 2026, bringing the stealth classic back to modern platforms in a full remaster created with Eidos-Montréal and Atari. The release covers PC via Steam, GOG and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

Players once again step into the shadows as Garrett, the master thief working the dark, industrial streets of the City. Every original mission from The Dark Project returns, rebuilt in Nightdive’s KEX Engine with remastered models, textures and lighting, support for 4K resolution and frame rates up to 120 FPS on selected platforms, and a choice of modern or legacy control schemes for returning purists.

The headline addition is The Tarnished Mirror, an entirely new campaign created for the remaster by Sadter & Hicks, the team behind the celebrated fan campaign The Black Parade. The fan connection runs deeper still: the remaster ships with mod support at launch, including compatibility with The Black Parade itself, so the community’s best work carries into the new edition from day one.

Thief: The Dark Project Remastered is priced at $29.99 / £24.99 for the Standard Edition. A physical Launch Edition will also be available for $39.99 / £34.99 through Atari.com and Amazon, while the Nintendo Switch 2 physical release ships on a game-key card. For a series that defined the stealth genre, December 3 marks a long-awaited return to the shadows. Between the new campaign, full mod support and the complete original mission set, this is the definitive version of a stealth landmark.

Mayday: The Survival Island has launched on Steam today, a hand-drawn pixel survival game that blends classic island survival with cozy homesteading. The game comes from Pequi Studio, the solo project of developer Rafael Zanchettin, and is published by indie.io.

Players take on the role of a plane crash survivor who washes up on the shore of a remote island with nothing to their name. From that first stretch of beach, the job is to build a life from scratch, farming crops, fishing the shallows, mining for raw materials, crafting tools and equipment, and cooking meals from whatever the island provides.

The island itself is anything but static. Seasons change across the year, storms roll in off the water, and fire can spread dynamically through the landscape, turning one careless moment into a real emergency. Three game modes and four difficulty levels let every player tune the challenge, whether they want a gentle homesteading escape or a far harsher fight to stay alive.

Progression comes through a skill tree and building upgrades that steadily turn a rough camp into a thriving homestead. Beneath the cozy surface, though, the island keeps its secrets: hidden mysteries, cultists and strange creatures all wait to be discovered, alongside animal friends that can be won over and even dressed up in costumes.

Mayday: The Survival Island is available now on Steam priced at $13.99, with a 20 percent launch discount bringing it down to $11.19 for the first week after launch. Players who like their survival games with a gentler, hand-crafted touch now have a new island to call home.
