Mayday: The Survival Island has launched on Steam today, a hand-drawn pixel survival game that blends classic island survival with cozy homesteading. The game comes from Pequi Studio, the solo project of developer Rafael Zanchettin, and is published by indie.io.

Players take on the role of a plane crash survivor who washes up on the shore of a remote island with nothing to their name. From that first stretch of beach, the job is to build a life from scratch, farming crops, fishing the shallows, mining for raw materials, crafting tools and equipment, and cooking meals from whatever the island provides.

The island itself is anything but static. Seasons change across the year, storms roll in off the water, and fire can spread dynamically through the landscape, turning one careless moment into a real emergency. Three game modes and four difficulty levels let every player tune the challenge, whether they want a gentle homesteading escape or a far harsher fight to stay alive.

Progression comes through a skill tree and building upgrades that steadily turn a rough camp into a thriving homestead. Beneath the cozy surface, though, the island keeps its secrets: hidden mysteries, cultists and strange creatures all wait to be discovered, alongside animal friends that can be won over and even dressed up in costumes.

Mayday: The Survival Island is available now on Steam priced at $13.99, with a 20 percent launch discount bringing it down to $11.19 for the first week after launch. Players who like their survival games with a gentler, hand-crafted touch now have a new island to call home.

Clone Drone in the Danger Zone is celebrating ten years in the arena with its biggest day in a long time. Doborog Games has announced that the robot combat hit is coming to mobile on November 12, the same day a 10th Anniversary Update lands on Steam and console.

The game puts players inside a shiny robot body armed with a laser sword, fighting through arena battles where every swing can slice an opponent apart piece by piece. That direct, physical combat has carried the game to more than two million copies sold, making it one of the standout indie action titles of the past decade.

The Anniversary Update arriving November 12 adds three new Challenges for Steam and console players. Among them is the long anticipated Saw Dog, alongside a new narratively rich Challenge that adds more story flavor to the arena runs. For longtime players who have cleared the existing Challenge Mode, the update offers fresh reasons to step back into the Danger Zone.

The mobile version launching the same day is described as a long awaited port that is fully optimized for phones, bringing the arena fights, upgrades and robot dismemberment to a new audience on the go. Pre-registration for the mobile version is open now ahead of the November 12 launch.

The announcements came during the first Doborog Direct presentation, where the studio also revealed Clone Drone vinyl and merchandise produced in collaboration with iam8bit, including keyrings and a Clone Drone in the Hyperdome vinyl. The showcase closed with a teaser for Project Orca, Doborog’s new sci-fi game.

Between the mobile launch, the Anniversary Update and a first look at what the studio is building next, November 12 shapes up as the biggest date Clone Drone fans have had in years.
