Daddy Yankee Drops New Album ‘LA POSTAL’
The king of reggaetón is dealing himself back in. Daddy Yankee releases LA POSTAL on Friday, October 30, through his own DY Music label — his 13th studio album, a 15-track set from the artist who carried the genre from San Juan to every corner of the world.
The lead single set the tone early. “BOTZ (Bésame Otra Vez)” arrived with an official video directed by STILLZ, one of the most sought-after visual storytellers in Latin music, giving the album a cinematic front door.
The album lands in the middle of an honor season. Daddy Yankee is the Latin Recording Academy’s 2026 Person of the Year, with the honor gala set for November 11, 2026, in Las Vegas during Latin Grammy week — a career tribute arriving in the same breath as a brand-new body of work.
That pairing says everything about where he stands: an icon being celebrated for what he built, still releasing like he has something to prove. Fifteen tracks deep, LA POSTAL is Yankee writing his next chapter and mailing it out himself, on his own label.
LA POSTAL arrives Friday, October 30.
The Person of the Year honor frames the moment perfectly. That award has historically gone to legends being thanked for a finished body of work — yet Yankee accepts his in the middle of an active album cycle, with a new video spinning and 15 fresh tracks in the market. LA POSTAL is not a victory lap delivered after the race. It is the race, still being run by the man who built the track.
