Die Shiny Turn Resistance Into a Rallying Cry With “Gold Star, Good Citizen”
What does a modern anthem sound like? For Die Shiny, it sounds like a room full of people finding their voices together.
The Salt Lake City art-pop band return with “Gold Star, Good Citizen”; transforming themes of solidarity, responsibility, and collective action into a powerful, unforgettable statement.
Moving away from their usual synth-driven, dancefloor energy, Die Shiny embrace a more dramatic and raw sound. Soaring vocals rise above atmospheric guitars, swelling bass synths, and percussion created through synchronized stomping, clapping, and body movement from friends of the band.
Written in a single morning by vocalist and songwriter Callie Crofts, the track quickly moved from idea to reality, making its live debut just days later at a protest on the steps of the Utah State Capitol. Its Independence Day release feels fitting for a song that questions what it means to truly show up for one another.
With “Gold Star, Good Citizen”, Die Shiny don’t offer easy answers. Instead, they create a moment of reflection and a reminder that real change begins when people choose empathy over apathy and community over comfort.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — FIND YOUR RIMIDI™ is proud to announce The Late Bloomer
Experience, the 2026 flagship experience of the FIND YOUR RIMIDI platform, taking place
Saturday, August 1, 2026, at an undisclosed location in Miami Gardens, Florida. The exact
location will be shared exclusively with registered attendees in the days leading up to the
experience.
Inspired by RIMIDI’s acclaimed project JUNO: The Late Bloomer, this year’s flagship
expression brings together music, education, wellness, conversation, creativity, technology, and
community in a one-of-a-kind immersive experience designed to help participants reconnect with
themselves and one another.
Unlike a traditional concert, conference, or festival, The Late Bloomer Experience invites
participants into a thoughtfully curated journey of exploration from the moment they register.
Some experiences begin when you arrive. This one begins the moment you say yes.
With an intentionally undisclosed location, thoughtfully revealed details, and immersive moments
of exploration woven throughout the day, The Late Bloomer Experience invites participants to
remain curious, present, engaged, and open to discovery.
“Music is the invitation,” says founder and creative director RIMIDI. “The deeper experience is
about reconnecting with who we are, finding community, and creating space to rest, reflect,
learn, and grow together.”
Throughout the day, attendees will experience live music, intimate performances, creative
conversations, educational masterclasses, wellness experiences, guided reflection, interactive
sessions, and opportunities to connect with artists, entrepreneurs, educators, and community
leaders. The experience has been intentionally designed to balance inspiration with restoration,
recognizing that meaningful creativity requires both expression and rest.
This year’s collaborators include RIMIDI, Aaron Marcus Payne, DJ Raver Teddy, and The
Suited Drummer, with special guest artists including Gino Black, Passion Ward, Melody
Renee, and KNZO. Additional collaborators, community partners, and special guests will be
announced in the coming weeks.The experience is presented in permanent partnership with GEM CULTURE, supporting
inter-generational creativity, leadership, and community, and in partnership with Powerblast
Worldwide, alongside a growing network of community organizations, artists, educators, and
creative collaborators.
As a community-centered activation, FIND YOUR RIMIDI is committed to making the experience
accessible. A significant number of complimentary tickets will be distributed through participating
artists, collaborators, and community partners, helping expand access across South Florida
while maintaining an intentionally curated experience.
The Late Bloomer Experience represents the current flagship expression of the FIND YOUR
RIMIDI platform. Future flagship experiences will continue to explore new stories, themes,
collaborators, and creative expressions while remaining rooted in the platform’s mission of
helping people live, create, and contribute in greater alignment with who they are.
