Lita Ford Signs With Frontiers Music Srl and Unleashes New Single “Dracula”

Rock icon Lita Ford has opened a new chapter. Ford has officially signed with Italian label Frontiers Music Srl, and marked the occasion Tuesday with the release of her new single “Dracula” and its official music video.

The signing positions one of hard rock’s most enduring guitarists for her next era. Welcoming her to the roster, Frontiers GM Jeff Stevenson called Ford “a true rock icon” — a description few in rock would argue. Ford first rose to fame as a teenager with The Runaways before building a solo career that made her one of the most recognizable guitarists in heavy music.

“Dracula,” released Oct. 27 through Frontiers, is the first preview of a forthcoming album Ford describes as a “magical dark fairytale.” The album’s title and release date have not yet been announced, but the stakes are already clear: it will be her first studio full-length since 2012’s Living Like a Runaway, ending a gap of more than a decade between studio albums.

The single arrives with serious rock pedigree behind the boards. “Dracula” was produced by guitarist Gary Hoey, who also plays on the track alongside drummer Bobby Rock, and it was mixed by Max Norman — a name familiar to any fan of classic heavy rock production.

Ford will support the release on stage over Halloween weekend, with shows Oct. 30 at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas and Oct. 31 at Agua Caliente Resort Casino in Rancho Mirage. A new label, a new single, and a long-awaited album on the way: for Ford fans, the wait is finally over.

Bonamassa himself joins her on the title track, and Orianthi guests on “What Good Is My Love?” The track list runs from “Hell Or High Water” and “Bad Boy” to “Tired Of Being Right” and “You And Me (Rachel’s Song),” a tribute to her best friend. The new single “Never Gonna Please ‘Em All” arrived alongside the album with an official music video.

Discovered at 16 by Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics, Shaw Taylor has stacked multiple No. 1 albums on Billboard’s Blues Albums chart.
