Planet Coaster 2 Opens the Crypt Gates as the Spooktacular Pack Arrives
Planet Coaster 2 is ready for Halloween. Frontier Developments released the Spooktacular Pack today, October 29, on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, priced at $18.99. It is the park builder’s full embrace of the spooky season, and it leads with a feature players have wanted for years.
For the first time in Planet Coaster 2, park managers can build Walkthrough Attractions. These are custom guest experiences designed from the ground up, scene by scene, where you shape the journey and control how guests react to every moment. Haunted houses and scare mazes are the obvious use, but Frontier built the tool to work with the base game and earlier themes too, so magical encounters and adventure stories are just as possible. You can start from a Frontier Workshop blueprint or build piece by piece from scratch.
The ride lineup runs seven deep: Spectre, a modular launch coaster; Sledge; the Bosetti dark ride; Ballista; Rumpus Room; Horror Heights; and The Huntsman. Around them sit more than 700 pieces of spooky scenery, animatronics, façades and effects, plus 29 ambient sounds, over 90 sound effects and 14 music tracks to set the mood.
Three new entertainers haunt the paths: Wigglebones, the larger-than-life skeleton personality; King Ghoster, drifting through the park; and Queen Scream, a mischievous spirit built to steal scenes. Even the park’s food and drink brands get seasonal makeovers, including Chief Teeth, Ghoulpee, Cosmic Cow Scare Shakes, Just a Boo-mento and the Scream Emporium.
The pack arrives alongside Free Update 12 for all players, which adds placeable Reaction Points that trigger guest responses as they pass scenery, new Photo Stand-In Walls, 25 dirt and grime decals and a round of fixes. The crypt gates are open.

Gothic 1 Remake Gets Photo Mode and More in First Feature Update
With its very first Feature Update, the Gothic 1 Remake adds an extensive Photo Mode to capture the greatest snapshots from the Colony ever. The Photo Mode comes with various options to create iconic images, just the way you’d like your memories to come to life.
On top of that comes the so-called “Marvin Mode”. Every Gothic fan knows it, but if you are not familiar with the term, it’s the official cheat mode that gives players access to various settings in the game. From simple things like opening that one annoying lock you couldn’t pick to teleporting or spawning items, characters and creatures – with the Marvin Mode, players can make Gothic their own and customize the game exactly to their liking.
It’s also time for a visual upgrade: the Nameless Hero can now get a proper haircut and tattoos to make him look even more nameless!
Feature Update #1 is available now for free on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
From October 29th until November 5th, the Gothic Franchise Sale on Steam offers big discounts. The Gothic 1 Remake is 25% off, while the iconic classics Gothic, Gothic II and Gothic 3, as well as ArcaniA, are all 80% off.
