Jurassic World Evolution 3 Goes East With the Prehistoric East DLC

Published

Jurassic World Evolution 3 is heading east. Frontier Developments has released Prehistoric East, the park builder’s latest DLC, available now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for $14.99. The pack draws its dinosaurs and its design language from East Asia, and it arrived alongside a free update for every player.

Five new species headline the DLC, each arriving as a full family unit with adult males, females and juveniles. The gentle Nanshiungosaurus is the cover star, a plumage-covered therizinosaur with a long neck, a large tail and recurved claws for foraging, with males sporting a bushier tail and a brightly colored head feather. The armored Gobisaurus is a tank of a herbivore, the Yangchuanosaurus is the pack’s apex predator, the small Sinosauropteryx is a feathered little carnivore, and the Tarbosaurus, a fearsome cousin of Tyrannosaurus rex at roughly ten meters long, rounds out the five.

The building side is just as substantial. Prehistoric East adds more than 230 new scenery pieces, including bronze Dragon Statues, marble Guardian Lions, paper lanterns, lotus flowers and new wall, roof and trim pieces, plus 15 ready-made blueprints for pagodas, gates and walled gardens. The series-first feature is holographic dinosaur displays, animated statues that can stand alone or be built into custom blueprints.

Every player gets something, DLC or not. Free Update 1.5 launched the same day, September 29, headlined by the Walkway Attraction, elevated guest paths that can cross land, enclosures and even lagoons, with adjustable heights and straight or curved sections that also lift a park’s transport rating. The update also brings back Carcharodontosaurus, fully remodeled as a family unit, free for all players.

Planted! Launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, Bringing Horticultural Combat to Consoles

Competitive gardening has officially gone extreme. Planted!, the chaotic 1-to-4 player party game from Welsh studio Cloth Cat Games and publisher Curveball Games, launches today on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, inviting players to sow, grow and throw their way to victory against their friends.

The setup is simple and gloriously silly: players race around an allotment growing fresh produce, then fling it at goals, and at each other, to rack up points and be crowned champion. There is an arsenal for the dirty work, too, including weed bombs, spud turrets and eerily green clones to help players edge out the competition.

The eight multiplayer arenas refuse to stay in the garden. Matches play out on windy mountainsides, in cavernous cave systems, on half-built skyscrapers and around active volcanoes, each location bringing its own twists and hazards. The arenas support both local play and online multiplayer with crossplay, and players can pick from a cast of unlikely characters, each with their own personality and style.

For solo players, Planted! also carries a full single-player story mode set in the cutthroat world of competitive gardening, with challenges and boss battles that teach the tactics which carry straight into multiplayer. “What started as a fun prototype for us to test out our weird and wacky ideas on has become a game the whole team has poured so much heart and soul into,” said Ben Cawthorne, Creative Producer at Cloth Cat Games.

Planted! is available digitally now on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A digital PC release and a physical PlayStation 5 edition follow in time for Christmas, after a delay to the Steam version’s approval, and a Nintendo Switch version is planned for early 2027.
