Farming Simulator 25 Heads to South America in the Beans & Alpacas Expansion
Farming Simulator 25 has gone somewhere warmer. GIANTS Software released the Beans & Alpacas expansion this week, on October 27, taking the series to Catuaí, a South America-inspired region of red soil, terraced plantations and rolling green hills. The expansion is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Mac, and it is included in the Year 2 Season Pass.
Catuaí is coffee country. Coffee beans are the headline crop, grown, dried and roasted through new production chains that can end in products like tiramisu, while bananas get their own dedicated cultivation system, complete with transport rails and washing stations, and can be turned into banana chips. Parrots and caimans roam the edges of the map, and explorers can find a town museum and a research station hidden in the rainforest.
The animals are the other half of the name. Alpacas can be raised, led around the farm and sheared, with their wool sold raw or worked into yarn, socks, pillows and plush toys. Brahman cattle join the livestock roster as a new breed to build a ranch around.
It would not be a Farming Simulator expansion without new iron, and Beans & Alpacas brings more than 25 new machines and implements from brands including Case IH, Ford, John Deere, KUHN, Mercedes-Benz Trucks, New Holland and Valtra. Colombo Industries makes its series debut. The expansion also adds new materials such as pigments and resin, which farmers can use to repaint houses for the local community, plus a major construction project. Enhanced ground-working animations and improved visual effects round out the package.
For a series built on routine, Catuaí is a genuine change of scenery, and a working holiday in every sense.

Planted! Launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, Bringing Horticultural Combat to Consoles
Competitive gardening has officially gone extreme. Planted!, the chaotic 1-to-4 player party game from Welsh studio Cloth Cat Games and publisher Curveball Games, launches today on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, inviting players to sow, grow and throw their way to victory against their friends.
The setup is simple and gloriously silly: players race around an allotment growing fresh produce, then fling it at goals, and at each other, to rack up points and be crowned champion. There is an arsenal for the dirty work, too, including weed bombs, spud turrets and eerily green clones to help players edge out the competition.
The eight multiplayer arenas refuse to stay in the garden. Matches play out on windy mountainsides, in cavernous cave systems, on half-built skyscrapers and around active volcanoes, each location bringing its own twists and hazards. The arenas support both local play and online multiplayer with crossplay, and players can pick from a cast of unlikely characters, each with their own personality and style.
For solo players, Planted! also carries a full single-player story mode set in the cutthroat world of competitive gardening, with challenges and boss battles that teach the tactics which carry straight into multiplayer. “What started as a fun prototype for us to test out our weird and wacky ideas on has become a game the whole team has poured so much heart and soul into,” said Ben Cawthorne, Creative Producer at Cloth Cat Games.
Planted! is available digitally now on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A digital PC release and a physical PlayStation 5 edition follow in time for Christmas, after a delay to the Steam version’s approval, and a Nintendo Switch version is planned for early 2027.
