No Rest for the Wicked Scraps Attributes for a 24-Class Weapon System in Version 1.0

Moon Studios is rebuilding how you build a character. In its latest Wicked Inside showcase, the studio detailed the new class system coming to No Rest for the Wicked with version 1.0, which launches in March 2027 on PC via Steam and PlayStation 5. The headline change is simple to say and huge in practice: attributes are gone.

Instead, your weapon is your class. Pick up a spear and you are a Dragoon, a mid-range fighter who opens fights with a spear throw and keeps enemies at the tip of the weapon. Switch to a dagger and you become an Assassin, built around genuine stealth, with overhauled enemy vision cones, noise reactions, wall knocks to lure guards and invisibility chained between sneak kills. There are 24 classes in total, and fighting with a class weapon earns the currency to unlock its traits and runes.

The mix-and-match layer is where it gets deep. There are 362 traits across the 24 classes, and unlocked traits go into a shared collection. Players equip six at a time, two offensive, two defensive, one utility and one ascension, and any slot can hold a trait from any class, whatever weapon is in hand. Spears charged with electricity and synergy builds that stack multiple classes are the studio’s own examples.

Version 1.0 also adds six joinable factions on Isola Sacra, including the assassins of the Severed Hand, the knightly Sacrament Guard and the Unspoken, each with its own questline, traits and vendors. A new Cerim Cores system governs survival, from health, stamina and focus boosts to exotic effects like Feral for attack speed and Crimson for lifesteal, with a catch: exceed your Core capacity and every hit you take hurts more.

Moon says 1.0 will roughly double the size of the game, which has passed two million players in Early Access since April 2024.

Planted! Launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, Bringing Horticultural Combat to Consoles

Competitive gardening has officially gone extreme. Planted!, the chaotic 1-to-4 player party game from Welsh studio Cloth Cat Games and publisher Curveball Games, launches today on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, inviting players to sow, grow and throw their way to victory against their friends.

The setup is simple and gloriously silly: players race around an allotment growing fresh produce, then fling it at goals, and at each other, to rack up points and be crowned champion. There is an arsenal for the dirty work, too, including weed bombs, spud turrets and eerily green clones to help players edge out the competition.

The eight multiplayer arenas refuse to stay in the garden. Matches play out on windy mountainsides, in cavernous cave systems, on half-built skyscrapers and around active volcanoes, each location bringing its own twists and hazards. The arenas support both local play and online multiplayer with crossplay, and players can pick from a cast of unlikely characters, each with their own personality and style.

For solo players, Planted! also carries a full single-player story mode set in the cutthroat world of competitive gardening, with challenges and boss battles that teach the tactics which carry straight into multiplayer. “What started as a fun prototype for us to test out our weird and wacky ideas on has become a game the whole team has poured so much heart and soul into,” said Ben Cawthorne, Creative Producer at Cloth Cat Games.

Planted! is available digitally now on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A digital PC release and a physical PlayStation 5 edition follow in time for Christmas, after a delay to the Steam version’s approval, and a Nintendo Switch version is planned for early 2027.
