EMMI IIDA is finally unveiling her dreamy debut album, The Eye, on the 22nd of February 2024 via EFG Records. The album follows the release of four of its singles – ‘Blooming’, ‘Energy Guru’, ‘Trinity and ‘Higher Self’ over the last five months. The songs in the project were written by EMMI herself and co-written and produced by Jessica Sharman, while the album was mixed & mastered by Femke Weidema. EMMI IIDA is a multi-modal creative – a visual artist, holistic interior architect & musician, carving a unique space for herself in the music industry. EMMI IIDA has received support from distinguished publications and stations such as METAL Magazine, CLASH Magazine, NOCTIS Mag, Earmilk, BBC 6’s Craig Charles, RTÉ 2FM, as well as securing her an interview with MTV Finland. EMMI is looking forward to performing at Timeless Festival in Cape Town, South Africa in April 2024.

Born in Hollola, Finland, EMMI IIDA began playing the piano at 5 years old. She spent her early years in a musical elementary school, singing in a choir and in an acapella band, performing her first solo in front of a crowd at 9. This early exposure to music had her singing in front of the TV and making her own songs constantly. In her search to continually create and express in unlimited forms, she founded her own company EFG Productions, as well as EFG Records, a record label focusing on drawing out holistic wellbeing with healing frequencies.

The Eye is a 14-track odyssey through EMMI IIDA’s sonic galaxy of ideas and feelings. Exploring themes of self-actualization, intimacy, cosmic meaning, love, empowerment and spirituality, EMMI’s lyrics are rich and inspiring. Her smooth, ethereal vocal delivery – both spoken and sung – brings these concepts to life with meditative ease and powerful passion. The sonic tale is vibrantly told: crisp, reverberant, trippy production that defies genres glues the project together, while each track’s mood and energy is distinct with ample flavour and variety. From the downtempo trippy chillhop of ‘Higher Self’ to the pulsing, sultry spoken word vocal fry of ‘Trinity’ to the avant-pop anthem focus track ‘Our Love’, featuring tender rap verses and vocals from Bryce Green, The Eye offers the listener a deeply spiritual sonic experience.

All of the songs on the album have added frequencies and mantras/messages to support and resonate with the body’s specific chakras. ‘Our Love’, for example includes the frequency of 528 Hz, the love frequency, that resonates with the love chakra and which is said to create more harmony and balance on a cellular level. Also, all of the songs have been tuned into 432 Hz which is more harmonious to listen to, than the standard 440 Hz.

EMMI IIDA revealed: “Making this album has been a healing journey for me. Losing a baby girl four years ago to divorcing last year, being a channel for these songs has helped me navigate life and alchemizing these setbacks into something beautiful and finding hope, happiness and that overpouring flow of love.”

Doja Cat brings her Tour Ma Vie World Tour to Toronto on Wednesday, November 25, with a 7:30 p.m. show at Scotiabank Arena. It is one of the last stops on the biggest headlining run of her career, and it lands in the middle of a heavy week for the building.

The tour supports Vie, her fifth studio album, released in September 2025. The record is an 1980s inspired turn back toward pop, led by the singles “Jealous Type” and “Gorgeous,” and the live show has been built as a full scale arena production. Latto joins the bill as special guest for the entire North American leg, which runs 31 dates from the October 1 opener in Detroit to the December 1 finale at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Toronto gets the show near the end of the run, with Boston on November 23 before it and Montreal on November 27 after it. By the time she reaches Scotiabank Arena, the production will have played more than twenty North American arenas, on top of earlier legs across Oceania, Asia, Latin America and Europe. Earlier in November the tour also plays Miami, Tampa, Orlando and Atlanta.

Fans have been getting a look inside the tour straight from Doja Cat herself. She has been filming the run on Ray-Ban Meta glasses, posting point of view footage from backstage, soundchecks and life on the road, so the Toronto crowd will see a show that has been documented almost night by night. Tickets for November 25 are on sale through Ticketmaster. With the Garden shows in New York closing the tour one week later, the Toronto date is one of the final chances to see this production before the run wraps.
