Bulgarian pop star DARA has released BAD IDEA, a brand new single that offers the first preview of her debut full length English language album, due in 2027. The track is out worldwide now and marks her first new release since Bangaranga, the song that won the Eurovision Song Contest for Bulgaria in May 2026.

Dork describes BAD IDEA as a fast paced pop track combining her vocals with electronic production, while OutLoud Culture calls it an infectious and euphoric pop anthem driven by powerful vocals, bold production and an exhilarating beat. Speaking about the release, DARA said, “I am so excited to share BAD IDEA. Bangaranga introduced me to so many new listeners, and I want this next chapter to show them more of who I am.”

The single begins a deliberate international push. Her Eurovision triumph at the 70th edition of the contest secured a first ever victory for Bulgaria and brought her music to a global audience. Since 2021 she has also served as a coach on The Voice of Bulgaria, helping guide several of her team members to victory, and her catalogue includes chart topping hits such as Thunder, Call Me and Mr Rover. Her earlier albums include Rodena Takava from 2022 and the more personal ADHDARA, released three years later.

The release week was staged as a homecoming as well as a launch. Coverage of the single noted a sold out concert in Sofia on Friday, October 30, where the new era was introduced live in front of thousands of fans. In early 2026 she also took her music to international audiences with performances in major European cities including Berlin, Madrid and London.

With BAD IDEA, DARA moves from the immediate afterglow of Eurovision toward a larger 2027 campaign, aiming her sound at listeners far beyond the Balkans while keeping the energy that made her a star at home.

Yseult Takes Full Control on Third Album FREAK

French singer Yseult has released FREAK, her third studio album, out now through her own label, Y.Y.Y. The 12 track record arrived on October 30, 2026, and it presents the artist fully in command of her work, writing, shaping and releasing the album on her own terms.

The tracklist runs Daddy (intro), 1-800 Adults Only, Heart Attack, Freak featuring JT, S#xx, Is It a Crime, Superstar, Dear God, S#x Youself, Now or Never, One More Time and a closing original version of Freak. One More Time was co-written with Rachel West, Jarrett Goodly, known as Sensei Bueno, and Harry Charles. The JT collaboration places Yseult alongside one of American rap’s most electric voices, while the rest of the record swings between provocation and vulnerability, club pressure and confessional calm.

Yseult, born Yseult Onguenet, has built her career by refusing every box offered to her, moving from French pop beginnings into a sound and image that answer to no format. Releasing FREAK through her own imprint is the logical next step in that story: ownership as artistry. She announced the album to her fans as a celebration and urged them to buy it, speaking with the directness that has made her one of the most compelling figures in French music. With FREAK out in the world, Yseult owns the masters, the message and the moment. The campaign carried her signature theatrical humor, pairing the rollout with an Aretha Franklin reference for her followers, and everything about the release feels deliberate. FREAK is streaming now.
