[VIDEO]Tamar Braxton Redeems Herself With Soul Train Awards Performance
Tamar Braxton graced the stage for the 30th Anniversary of the Soul Train Awards.
The songstress gave us an ol’ nasty performance of ‘Blind,’ and this is honestly one of her best performances to date.
We all know that the songstress is no stranger to lip syncing, cracked vocals, and sounding like who did it and what for. But, at the Soul Train Awards, she redeemed herself.
I don’t know if it’s because she had just announced the divorce from Vincent Herbert days before this recording or what, but I do know she delivered.
As I sat in the audience, I was surprised. I just knew we were going to get the ol’ extra shaking her head until the wig fell off, lip syncing performance like we did for BET Awards. But, to my surprise, she sat in her pain, as a true artist and delivered.
Whatever ‘this’ is, I hope she stays there because this is the artistry we need. This is the true Tamar. Honestly, maybe because she kicked Vince’s ass to the curb she’s more free to be herself and comfortable in her own skin.
Either way, I am clapping for her.
