“Worship Arena” by Melmusic: A Transformative Gospel Event that United All in Worship

Last Friday, January 5th, 2024, the highly anticipated “Worship Arena” took place at the Christian Centre A/G Preacher’s Cathedral in Odeneho Kwadaso, Kumasi. Hosted by gospel minstrel Melmusic, also known as Melody Asamoah, this event was a true celebration of God’s goodness.

Featuring powerful ministrations from Melody (Melmusic), Ark Eric, Emmanuel Owusu Poku, and Pastor Sammie Obeng-Poku, the atmosphere was charged with spiritual energy. But there was one extraordinary moment that caught an attention from the blogger Skbeatzrecords, who captured the noteworthy moment.

In a corner of the auditorium, a Rastafarian man was spotted, fully immersed in worship during Pastor Sammie Obeng’s session.

Dressed modestly, with a headwear reflecting the vibrant colors of Ghana and footwear echoing the colors of the USA, he created a unique presence.

This dedicated Rastafarian arrived four hours early, engaging in every aspect of the event. He observed, fellowshipped, and worshipped with unwavering commitment. Recognizing his devotion, Melmusic introduced him to the congregation, acknowledging his presence based on his appearance.

Even a brief power outage during Pastor Sammie’s closing session couldn’t dampen the spirits of the congregation and the Rastafarian man. They continued worshipping in harmony until the lights were restored. It was an unforgettable experience for all, and the Rastafarian man found a meaningful start to his year at “Worship Arena.”

Melmusic’s “Worship Arena” left a lasting impression, uniting people from all walks of life in a powerful celebration of faith and music. It truly was an event to remember.

South African music legend Kabelo Mabalane has released For King and Country, his tenth solo album and his first in 11 years. The 12 track gospel record arrived on October 30, 2026, and it finds the TKZee co-founder singing from the center of his faith, in a sound he calls Street Psalms.

The album is a communal effort. Across its 12 tracks, Mabalane is joined by Ishmael, The Arrows, Rhema Choir, F3 Dipapa, Lux City Music and the CFCI Choir, voices that move the record between intimate testimony and full choir lift. Songs such as Open Heaven, Glory and You Can’t Curse What Is Blessed set the tone: worship built for both the church and the street that raised him. Mabalane has described the project as the sound of a man who has lived long enough to know exactly what he believes, and the writing carries that certainty without losing its warmth.

The release itself carries meaning. The album was first set for October 14, the date that would have marked the 50th birthday of Tokollo Tshabalala, his late TKZee bandmate, known to the world as Magesh. The music now arrives with that memory woven into its story. Mabalane will present the album live with two shows at the Teatro, Montecasino on December 15 and 16, 2026, bringing the Street Psalms to the stage in what promises to be a celebration of a career that has moved from kwaito history into gospel testimony.
