6LACK Turns His Album Into a Conversation Series With REVOLT Podcast ‘6 for 6’
6LACK is not done with “Love Is the New Gangsta” — he’s talking it out. The Grammy-nominated R&B artist has partnered with REVOLT on “6LACK Presents: 6 for 6,” a six-episode weekly podcast series that expands the world of his fourth studio album into intimate conversations with musicians, actors and other creative figures.
The series premiered October 13 with actors Gail Bean and Isaiah John, stars of FX’s “Snowfall” universe, discussing their paths through the entertainment industry. The second episode features Grammy-winning singer Ambré, a longtime friend and collaborator, in a conversation about the experiences that shaped both artists’ creative journeys. The rest of the season’s lineup includes Blxst, Jordan Ward, Mereba and DDG. Episodes air Mondays at 9:30 p.m. ET before arriving online the following day.
The podcast arrives in the middle of a banner year for 6LACK. “Love Is the New Gangsta,” released in May with collaborations including Young Thug, Leon Thomas, Odeal and Mereba, earned widespread praise, and the singer has followed it with visuals for fan favorites like “I Guess” and “On Me,” plus the freestyle “Everywhere At Once (Tour Talk).”
“6LACK is giving fans more than an album. Through these six intimate conversations, he’s inviting people deeper into the world of Love Is the New Gangsta,” said Deon Graham, chief content officer of REVOLT and Offscript Worldwide. “At REVOLT, we want to give artists room to take creative risks and connect with audiences in unexpected ways. 6LACK is thinking differently about what an album experience can be. Our job is to back that vision and give it a bigger stage.”

Billy Porter Opens a Faith-and-Identity Conversation Series as First Guest of ‘This Is Our Story’
A new monthly conversation series is making room for the stories people are rarely asked to tell in full. “This Is Our Story,” hosted by Seth Pinnock — founder of the UK charity Symphony Co. — launched October 20 from Symphony Co. and In Details Studios, exploring culture, faith, sexuality, identity and the life-shaping stories in between.
The inaugural guest sets the tone: Billy Porter, the Emmy, Grammy and three-time Tony Award winner, sits down with Pinnock for an open conversation about growing up in the Pentecostal church, enduring bullying, and the long road through faith, healing and forgiveness.
Porter’s reflections anchor the episode. “Forgiveness is for me,” he says in the conversation. “It’s not forgive and forget. It’s forgive and move forward.” It is the kind of unguarded exchange the series is built to hold — personal history examined without spectacle, by a host whose own work through Symphony Co. centers community and young people’s stories.
As a monthly series, “This Is Our Story” is positioned as a slow conversation in a fast medium: one guest, one story, and the space to tell it properly. With Porter as its first voice, it opens with a story that moves from the church pews of Pittsburgh to the highest stages in entertainment — and finds healing, not bitterness, at the center of it.
That is precisely the ground Pinnock wants the series to hold. The conversations are structured around the moments that shape a life rather than the highlights that sell one, and Porter’s episode — part testimony, part masterclass in survival — gives the young series an unmistakable statement of intent from its very first installment.
