Planted! Launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, Bringing Horticultural Combat to Consoles
Competitive gardening has officially gone extreme. Planted!, the chaotic 1-to-4 player party game from Welsh studio Cloth Cat Games and publisher Curveball Games, launches today on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, inviting players to sow, grow and throw their way to victory against their friends.
The setup is simple and gloriously silly: players race around an allotment growing fresh produce, then fling it at goals, and at each other, to rack up points and be crowned champion. There is an arsenal for the dirty work, too, including weed bombs, spud turrets and eerily green clones to help players edge out the competition.
The eight multiplayer arenas refuse to stay in the garden. Matches play out on windy mountainsides, in cavernous cave systems, on half-built skyscrapers and around active volcanoes, each location bringing its own twists and hazards. The arenas support both local play and online multiplayer with crossplay, and players can pick from a cast of unlikely characters, each with their own personality and style.
For solo players, Planted! also carries a full single-player story mode set in the cutthroat world of competitive gardening, with challenges and boss battles that teach the tactics which carry straight into multiplayer. “What started as a fun prototype for us to test out our weird and wacky ideas on has become a game the whole team has poured so much heart and soul into,” said Ben Cawthorne, Creative Producer at Cloth Cat Games.
Planted! is available digitally now on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A digital PC release and a physical PlayStation 5 edition follow in time for Christmas, after a delay to the Steam version’s approval, and a Nintendo Switch version is planned for early 2027.

Gothic 1 Remake Gets Photo Mode and More in First Feature Update
With its very first Feature Update, the Gothic 1 Remake adds an extensive Photo Mode to capture the greatest snapshots from the Colony ever. The Photo Mode comes with various options to create iconic images, just the way you’d like your memories to come to life.
On top of that comes the so-called “Marvin Mode”. Every Gothic fan knows it, but if you are not familiar with the term, it’s the official cheat mode that gives players access to various settings in the game. From simple things like opening that one annoying lock you couldn’t pick to teleporting or spawning items, characters and creatures – with the Marvin Mode, players can make Gothic their own and customize the game exactly to their liking.
It’s also time for a visual upgrade: the Nameless Hero can now get a proper haircut and tattoos to make him look even more nameless!
Feature Update #1 is available now for free on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
From October 29th until November 5th, the Gothic Franchise Sale on Steam offers big discounts. The Gothic 1 Remake is 25% off, while the iconic classics Gothic, Gothic II and Gothic 3, as well as ArcaniA, are all 80% off.
