We’ve got some exciting news that’s guaranteed to add some serious groove to your playlists. London’s very own R&B/Soul sensation, Nathan Palmer – aka NXTHXN – is back with a brand-new track that’s going to make you want to hit the dance floor. Say hello to “One Time” – a song that effortlessly blends smooth R&B vibes with an irresistible Afrobeats twist.
For those of you who might not be in the know, NXTHXN is a powerhouse vocalist with a resume that reads like a who’s who of the music industry. He’s provided backing vocals for legends like Grace Jones and Jocelyn Brown, and lent his voice to tracks by some of the hottest artists around, including Stormzy, WizKid, Little Simz, and FKA twigs, just to name a few.
Now, let’s talk about the star of the show – “One Time”. Produced by the incredibly talented Delirious, this track is all about those unforgettable moments we share with someone special. Inspired by the likes of Chris Brown, Burna Boy, and Rotimi, NXTHXN has crafted a song that’s perfect for summer vibes, late-night drives, and everything in between.
NXTHXN himself says, “Linking up with Delirious really changed the game for me. He’s incredible at adding that Afrobeats flavour, and that’s exactly what I wanted for my next release. For me, this song is all about that deep, universal need to feel loved, and sharing a special moment with someone, even if it’s just for one time.”
ARB, the enigmatic musical group, return with their latest single ‘Guy’, featuring KAEY. The sonic storm on the tune features afrobeat vocals, grime beats and string instruments while having an upbeat atmospheric background.
To cement their position in the Afro scene and demonstrate their innovative approach to genres, ARB is scheduled to release ground-breaking AfroGrime, Afrobeats, Afrobeat, Afropop, and Afrofusion records in the coming year.
When asked about the inspiration behind this new single, ARB has the following to say;
“It means the world to me as it blends all the different sub-genres that I play, into one song. It is unique and provokes the listener to interact with it without trying too hard. In the campaign promo for Guy, we will implement the “10k hussle campaign” which will see us award 10k Naira to hardworking traders and market sellers in a bid to encourage their hustling and to appreciate their hard work.”
It’s safe to assume that ARB has the future of Afro-music in good hands, having shot to prominence in the music industry in the blink of an eye. This captivating song deftly combines several genre elements to envelop listeners in an intriguing atmosphere and showcase their versatility as a group.
