Jefferson at Armwood: Hawks Close Regular Season at Home Against Dragons

Armwood closes the regular season at home in Seffner on Friday night against Jefferson, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. Armwood enters at 8-1 and Jefferson at 4-5, according to MaxPreps. High School On SI’s October 28 Florida rankings listed Armwood at No. 14 in the state and also had the Hawks at 8-1 heading into this game.

Armwood comes in off a 62-0 win over Leto last week. In that game, junior Rondai Dile completed 7 of 8 passes for 185 yards and four touchdowns, according to High School On SI. Jefferson, at 4-5, needs a complete game on the road: sustain drives, limit Armwood’s explosive plays, and win the turnover battle to keep the finale close into the second half.

For Armwood, Friday is about finishing the regular season cleanly at home before the playoffs. For Jefferson, it is a chance to measure itself against one of Florida’s ranked teams. The Hawks will try to set the tempo early, while the Dragons will try to slow the game and make every possession count.

Harrison at McEachern: Hoyas Visit the Indians for a Cobb County Friday Night

Harrison visits McEachern on Friday night in Powder Springs, in a Cobb County region game between two programs that know each other well.

McEachern’s schedule tells a strong October story. The Indians won at Hillgrove 27-24 and beat Campbell 38-6 in region play earlier this month, per MaxPreps results. That is a home team that has won a close one and a comfortable one, which is exactly the range a team needs at this point in the season. At home on Friday, McEachern will expect to set the physical tone.

Harrison’s job is to disrupt that comfort. The Hoyas need to match McEachern at the line of scrimmage, stay patient on offense, and avoid falling behind early in a tough road environment. In Cobb County region play, a two-score hole on the road is a hard climb.

If Harrison can keep this close into the second half, the pressure moves to the home team. If McEachern starts fast, the Indians can lean on the formula that has worked all month. Harrison at McEachern kicks off Friday, October 30 at 7:30 p.m.
