The Philadelphia 76ers erased a 13-point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat the Indiana Pacers 114-109 on Wednesday night, outscoring the hosts 39-21 over the final 12 minutes.

Indiana appeared to be in control after a dominant third quarter. Philadelphia led 62-52 at halftime thanks to VJ Edgecombe’s halfcourt shot at the buzzer, but the Pacers opened the second half with 17 straight points, won the third period 36-13 and carried an 88-75 lead into the fourth.

Philadelphia scored 26 of the period’s first 34 points to move in front 101-96, and after Indiana closed within one point in the final minutes, Tyrese Maxey sealed the win with two 3-pointers in the last 1:10, the second stretching the lead to 112-106 with 46 seconds remaining.

Cooper Flagg scored 26 points and handed out eight assists as the Dallas Mavericks pulled away from the injury-depleted Oklahoma City Thunder for a 120-96 victory on Wednesday night, handing Oklahoma City its first loss of the season.

Dallas led 33-30 after one quarter, 65-59 at halftime and 94-81 through three, then put the game away by outscoring the Thunder 26-15 in the fourth quarter. Eight Mavericks reached double figures. P.J. Washington had 18 points and nine rebounds, Kyrie Irving scored 15 points, Zaccharie Risacher added 13 and Max Christie 11, while Marcus Sasser, Morez Johnson Jr. and Caleb Martin scored 10 apiece. Daniel Gafford anchored the interior with 11 rebounds.

Flagg, who did not commit a turnover in 33 minutes, stayed red-hot two nights after becoming the first teenager in NBA history to record 25 points, 10 assists, five rebounds and five steals in a single game, a milestone he reached Monday in Miami.

Ajay Mitchell led Oklahoma City with 29 points on 12-of-20 shooting, but Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was held to 21 points on 7-of-19 shooting. Isaiah Hartenstein added 10 points and 14 rebounds for the Thunder.

Oklahoma City played without six players, most notably Jalen Williams (fractured fibula and dislocated left ankle) and Cason Wallace (torn labrum in his left shoulder), both of whom need surgery, along with Chet Holmgren (knee) and Alex Caruso (ankle). The Thunder had opened 4-0 for a third consecutive season, only the second team in league history to do so, but their bid to become the first team ever to start 5-0 in three straight seasons ended in Dallas.

Dallas improved to 3-2. Oklahoma City fell to 4-1.
